On December 12th 2022 at 8:30 am I went to cash a check at this establishment. I am a previous customer and my identity was verified for the check I requested to be cashed. The female employee was trying to verify the check over the phone and when the store manager came in she showed him the check. He told her to make a copy of it and not to cash it because its fraud. He didnt wait for her to get someone on the phone to verify the checks credibility. The female clerk even took my full social security number to use to verify when she talked the the bank that issued the check. I felt as the manager profiled me and I feel he was discriminating against me without getting all the facts.Business response

This customer had a refund ******************** that needed to be verified. Although she is a customer this was not a typical ******************** for her. While the employee was having trouble reaching the customer service for the maker, the employee and I were talking about the check in the back of the store. Nobody approached the customer with she was committing fraud, what the store was concerned with that is check was verified with the maker. For point of information, it is our job to protect our customers from various scams including refund checks and identity theft. The customer should be grateful we do our job. In terms of her discrimination claim, she is a customer so how are we discriminating against her? What part of her does she feel we would not want to business with? What is the discrimination? As I stated earlier she should be happy we do our job properly and no one from our location was doing anything but due diligence.
