      In January I contacted Quick Evic and February l contracted them to provide eviction services. They gave me a 4 part process and payment schedulepart1 $400, part2 $450, $325and$325 respectively. There were adjournments in May and October for December as per Quick Evic. On 12/8/23 I paid the last $325, based on the invoice sent by the company. A few days after The 12/11 hearing I was told the hearing was adjourned for both parties to try to come to a resolution before the new hearing set on 1/25/24. 2 days before the 1/25 hearing Quick Evic proprietor informed me of the other parties request, which him and I rejected. He told me we will be going to trial which I will have to be present, but when I ask if that is 1/25, he said I dont have to be there. 7:44pm after the trial On 1/25, he sent me an invoice for $325, I referred him to his account, because I thought it was an error. After texting back and forth He tells me for every court appearance I have to pay $325. I explain to him base on the schedule he sent me, I am paid up. What he is claiming is not on the schedule and was never verbally discussed with me. He has not given me the outcome of the hearing for 1/25, which I have already paid for. I called him, on 1/26, no answer and the mailbox is full. My payment dates as per the schedule are 2/6, 5/9, 10/26 and 12/8 respectively. Quick Evic needs to send me written outcome of the hearing on 1/25. Please see the attached Quick Evic schedule and address for the business.

      QuickEvic has served the community for more than a decade, and has helped hundreds of landlords with the eviction process.  All landlords are notified during the intake process that the eviction case may take one or more court appearances in Housing Court for resolution.  Our landlords are informed that the fee is charged per court appearance handled by our network attorneys.  Although a small number of cases may be resolved on the first appearance, most cases will require two or more appearances for settlement.  Every case is unique, and there is a separate court in ************* called the Housing Court that handles solely eviction cases.  Eviction cases are thus no different from a divorce case in family court or criminal matter, and the litigation will likewise have uncertainties and unpredictable outcomes.  Many tenants are provided with free legal aid attorneys and numerous defenses may be raised, which are too lengthy to list here.  Our experienced network attorneys make all efforts to bring swift settlement to each case in order to reduce costs for our landlords.  We regret that the client had a misunderstanding regarding the litigation portion of the process and the fees associated with court appearances.  We have revised our price list based on this client complaint to avoid any future confusion.  The client may: continue the eviction process with QuickEvic per fees; ask the court to proceed as a pro-se litigant without an attorney; or transfer the case to another out of network attorney.
