To whom it may concern: I've been using United Metro as my home heating oil provider on and off over the years and more recently by contract for the past 2 years. Our most recent contract ran from 04/15/2021 to 04/14/2022. We decided not to renew as the summer is coming and our usage is much lower. This was discussed over the phone more than once with our regular salesperson ******* *, who we have worked with for years. My records with ******* date back to 2018, I have a majority of our communication logged. ******* failed to accurately update the system, even though we spoke about not renewing any contract and cancel automated deliveries on 04/13/2022 @ 2:47pm. No new contract was put in place and no new rate was agreed upon. ******* failed to do this. On 5/12/2022, United Metro Energy delivered 234 gallons of oil at a rate more than 2x our previous contracted rate, and left the receipt in our mailbox. To my surprise, as I already spoke about not receiving ANY services from United Metro, I contacted *******. I began to explain that we had received a surprise delivery, before I could get a few words out ******* interjected "Don't pin this on me" and became very unprofessional quickly before he disconnected. I have yet to finish explaining the situation to a United Metro Energy employee. I have never been more disappointed in a business, ******* * should be held responsible for this mistake. It is upsetting that a resolution has yet to be found, but more upsetting that no one listened. I have supporting documents for all claims made and will provide them to the appropriate parties as we move forward. United Metro Energy has all documents but if they do not, I can provide them as well as call logs.Initial Complaint

This company states they filled our oil tank that is underground in our yard which has locked gates. We had told them to call us before a delivery is made in order for us to unlock the gates to make the delivery. The next day we get a receipt in the mail that they delivered $500 worth the oil. When I called them for an explanation how they got into our yard the man proceeds to tell me that the delivery driver hopped our fence in order to make the delivery. Both of our cars were in the driveway and no one attempted to ring the doorbell or give us a call to let us know that they were here. They insisted that the delivery was made but couldnt tell us exactly how the delivery driver got into our yard. Finally we got an answer stating that the delivery driver unlocked our gates which is impossible being that is a key lock on the inside of our gate. The man ******* that I spoke to was extremely rude and disrespectful to me and told me I should be appreciative that they jumped my gate in order to get an oil delivery. After making many calls and not getting any calls back finally ****** the manager called me back and stated that the delivery driver proceeded to unlock our gates. I am finding this hard to believe that he unlocked key locks that are on the inside of the gate without jumping the fence. No attempt was made to let us know that they were here to unlock our gates. At this point we dont even know if we have oil in our tank . Tomorrow we have another company coming to see how much oil is actually in there. They have been very unprofessional to us and were not able to send someone from their company out to measure oil in order to prove that the oil was actually delivered. If this man jumped our gate it is trespassing we have locks on our gates for a reason. We have a 6 foot PVC fence around the whole perimeter of our yard if the delivery was made this man jumped a fence and trespassed on our property.
