Original date of transaction was in spring of 2020. We purchased to be made for *************** of the Nazarene a logo from Vista Logos. During conversation, we were led to believe this was a part of VistaPrint - it is not. After the logo was completed - sometime in 2021 over a year later, we paid to have it copyright protected. In 2022 and now in 2024 the company has had their "legal team" call us and threaten a $75,000.00 lawsuit if we don't pay them $5,000.00 to have the copyright filed. I believe this business is operating with out of country boiler room thugs. They might have an office in the Broncs, but the bulk of employees are calling from overseas.Initial Complaint

I purchased two small logos from a company named Vista Logos in 2019. Their website claimed that you would end up with a royalty-free logo. We have been using one of the logos for 5 years. We ended up not using the 2nd logo at all ******************** one). We are now getting phone calls from the company telling us that we had to buy their copyright package for some $1500 - $2400. They kept asking whether we would be purchasing a Copyright or giving them a closure letter. And if I don't take the logo "down" they will come after me federally. I told them multiple times to mail me the "court documents" and they just call/text and harass me every few days. The same person called several times with a strong sales pitch that I needed to take the copyright package, or I would be subject to paying a fine of up to $75000. They started texting me about how my rights to the logo expired and that they were reporting me to the federal office with negative remarks and that I would be in legal trouble. They also texted me this: A lawsuit has been initiated against you, and you will get the infringement document at your email and within a week at your mailing address. The Business name and the logo are getting ceased and you'll get the cease-and-desist shortly along with the infringement lawsuit documents which starts from $75,000. I have the full content of his texts I can send as well.Initial Complaint

Vista Logos provided a logo over 3 years ago and has been harassing us to pay more money. ****** ******** Head Of Legal Affairs threatened a lawsuit of $75K and demanded payment of $1020 and then raised it to $1050 with in 24 to 48 hours. ****** stated that any attorney we hired wouldn't be smart enough to fight them and they would have to pay the $75K. He then stated he would procede with legal action and implement the $75K fine if a closure letter to get your IP legally closed from the federal office records wasn't received by them.He refuesed to provide information for IDme or the ***** if we didn't pay him the money.****** has now stated they will continue harassment and extortion attempts. We haven't used the logo in over 2 1/2 years and have no intention of using it.I want the constant harassment to stop. This is unacceptable and annoying. I have saved all the correspondence ****** has sent via text.Customer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Vista Logos regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The company sent another threaten text which is in the attachment I have included. This this it was IP Paralegal **** ******. The original threats came from the Head of Legal Affairs ****** ********.
This company only threatens and refuses to stop communications. From my research it appears this is their business model and way to "scare" people into sending them thousands of dollars for nothing.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
****** ********

Purchased the Logo Plus package in November of 2020 which is advertised as 100% ownership rights. I was contacted in April 2024 after 9pm. I hung up with the feeling it was a scam. He followed up with a text throwing legal jargon around with some threats but stopped for a month or two. Then, another gentlemen from legal affairs reached out via text with a script of the same legal jargon but from a different number. Getting more aggressive one day saying theyd file at the state department with negative remarks, and then next day it was filed. Dont know how someone can try and pressure more money 3 years later about copyright that expired when it was sold as 100% ownership. Very unprofessional with no official documentation or communicationCustomer Answer

I paid Vista Logos a designing fee to design a business logo for me in April 2022, over two years ago. I never used the logo, but they later contacted me and told me that I had to get the design copyrighted if I was going to use the design or they would sue me for copyright infringement. I declined to register the design and they threatened legal action if I did not pay them for the copyright application fee. (May 2022) They started messaging me and threatening me with federal fines because I didn't file the copyright. I have saved the text messages. I told them multiple times to stop harassing me about this issue so they told me that they would see me in court. I was then called and threatened to pay a fee to them or they would take me to court. This is blatant harassment and deception to force me to pay them more money that is not due to them. They contacted me again via text message on August 6, 2024 quoting the ****** Act and citing several sections. I didn't know who this was from until I texted the number and they replied "This is **** legal" followed by a telephone call. This time they threatened to file charges against me and imposing a fine of $75,000, or I could pay them $1,025.00 for the application fee. I told them again that I wasn't about to pay them any additional money for anything. I was transferred to a "supervisor" who then proceeded to tell me that I owed them over $600.00 for not completing the application. I asked them to send me everything they had in my case file to my email and they refused. I cussed them out and again told them to stop harassing me. I just want them to stop contacting me and wasting my time and threatening me with Federal Statutes.Customer Answer

I purchased a package of logo renderings from Vista Logos in 2020. None of the logos looked how I wanted, so I never used any of them and instead created my own in Adobe. Vista logos has contacted me several times since threatening lawsuits starting at $75,000 stating that the ***** and BBB are filing a lawsuit against me through them for copyright infringement.Customer Answer

I bought a logo from Vista Logos. They tried selling me a copyright to the logo. After a few months they started messaging me and threatening me with federal fines because I didnt. I told them to stop multiple times but they keep harassing me. I have the text messages to prove it. Partial transcript follows: Hi *************************,This is ********************* and I'm taking care of your application through the legal office for your business. If the application is not settled and closed by today's deadline, following Infringement Sections the U.S ****************** and subject to strict legal actions and infringement penalties.I have told them to stop multiple times and this was his response: Why would i stop! They have called me trying to make me pay for a copyright fee. This is blatant abuse of using my information as scare tactics for money.Customer Answer

I hired Vista Logos to create logos in 2022 for my social media sites called RVDreamer on TikTok and ******** as well as for my RVDreamer e-commerce sites on Spring.com and my storefront on **********. I made payments and thought we were good on everything. After this work and using the logos for about a year, I started receiving requests and threats that someone else was trying to trademark the RVDreamer name and logo. To ensure this would not happen, I paid them an additional $4,000 to process the application via the ****** The paperwork was also sent to them with a notary seal on 4/15/24.Then, they went silent the past few months. Today (6/25), their so-called "legal department" contacted me trying to extort an additional $5,400 from me for more fees. I just want my money back so I can hire Legal Zoom to work through the trademark process to protect my intellectual property. I need help resolving this matter and feel angry, frustrated and lost. Help please!********************* ************Initial Complaint

I paid $35 for Vista Logos to make me a logo for my small business. About 6 months after making the logo for me, they started texting me about how my rights to the logo expired and that they were reporting me to the federal office with negative remarks and that I will be in trouble. They also texted me this:A lawsuit has been initiated against you, and you will get the infringement document at your email and within a week at your mailing address. Thank you.Followed by this text:The Business name and the logo are getting ceased and you'll get the cease-and-desist shortly along with the infringement lawsuit documents which starts from $75,000.The funny this is is that I never even used the logo. It never made it passed my inbox. So I dont know how I can get sued for never using a logo that I paid for, but well see.
