      On 12/30 I had an appointment to get my hair done. The day prior; from the salons instagram page, I clicked the link to book. (No where on her page does it tell bookers to view her website for further instructions, or anything in regards to filling out forms or sending in pictures) After booking through the link on her page. I recieved 2 messages via email from booksy confirming the appointment with an attachment in regards to the clients health and safety rules. NOTHING ELSE!The day of my appointment I showed up on time, rang the bell and was asked my name and appointment time. I replied and was told I did not fill out required documents. I explained that I never received it. The lady behind the intercom said she would send it again. (My phone number was given when I booked this appointment if documents wasnt received why wasnt I notified prior)After still not receiving it she told me I had to download the app. The minute I downloaded the app and entered my info the documents popped up. I asked them if I could come inside and complete it. One of the requirements was that I take photos of the front and back of my head ( How was I supposed to do that outside?) I said that doing this would make me late for my appointment Is that going to be an issue? The lady replied no.Now its 40 degrees and cold outside. I shamelessly go to the corner store to warm up and ask a random stranger to take my pictures. Filled out the documents and sent the pictures to the email address provided. I get back in front of the door and rang the bell.They claimed they never got the pictures. I told them it was sent to the email provided. As I was reading the email address she told me it was wrong. (However thats the email that is on the site) she than proceeded to tell me I was 30 minutes well into my appointment and I received a no show email from booksy.This is robbery! Her policy of pictures and signing documents are not clearly listed on ALL booking sites & was not sent to me prior my arrival. I WAS LEFT TO STAND IN THE COLD TO COMPLETE RIDICULOUS TASK AND THAN BE MARKED AS A NO SHOW THIS IS ROBBERY. TWINSUNISEXGLAMBAR 1. Took my deposit and did not send or let me know about forms and pictures I needed to submit until I got there. (Not even a text message prior stating that these things were needed. They had my number) seems like they were ok with just taking my money and not delivering any services. Immoral and unethical! 2. Left me out in the cold, refused to let me In or help me give them the information needed to get my hair done. (Email address to provide the info was WRONG) 3. Caused me to be late for my appointment even though I was standing right out side and than had the audacity to put me as a no show on the booksy app. 4. Offered no refund, no help and marked me as a no show while waiting outside in the cold. This again is robbery. This is not how you start off a new client relationship. This lady watched me outside her door and did absolutely nothing to help. Whoever handles the bookings are not thorough, dont follow up to see if the new clients provided the right information to get their hair done. Its a recipe for disaster for the client and a get rich quick scheme for the stylist. I should get my money back

      Twinsuisexsalontheglambar.                  Hi Im responding to the allegations that was reported by the client those claims are false . We are not here to mislead customers and mistreat anyway. We treat all clients equally and with respect. Our booking policy is listed on our website and all clients have to sign and date the booking agreement. To avoid fraudulent activity and charge back towards the business However this was not the case with this client did not sign  and dated the agreement and we couldnt verify her appointment. She didnt submit the request pictures or ID . We tried to resolve the situation by sending multiple emails for her to sign the agreement and she said claim she wasnt receiving the emails . We tried resolving the situation by email and asked her to sign and date the agreement. She walked away without canceling or notifying us that she wont be keeping her appointment. Our policy is listed on our website for all customers to view and sign. All the allegations are false. We have attached the following information for verification. Thank you

      The above pictures show that the document was signed and the pictures were sent. The date that I signed the document is listed on the document!

      THERE RESPONSE IS FALSE!

       All required documents was sent. 
      I recieved no emails from this company in regards to filling out documents at all!

      I was told to download the app while waiting outside and to take the pictures and send them which I did.

      while waiting outside in the cold they marked me a no show and WOULD NOT LET ME IN. 

      Where is the proof that they sent me multiple emails and I didnt reply?

      THIS APPEARS TO BE A PATTERN OF ROBBERY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

      IM OUT $126 and I am not the first person with this same complaint. I wish I had read the yelp reviews prior to booking! Literally just 1 day before my appointment another client shared the same experience!

      This company is getting rich off off of marking people no shows, and  has a history of leaving their clients out in the cold!

       

      The email address listed on their policy is wrong as well too. I sent the pictures to the wrong address first, while outside they said the address was wrong and gave me the right one.

      I went to receive a service at this salon. The following issues occurred during my visit and are cause for refund:- my appointment started 80 minutes late - I was coerced into signing a liability waiver (which I did not receive a copy or allowed to take a photo of even though I requested) nearly 2 hours into the service, after the bulk of the work had already been done. This included a significant haircut (big chop) and 2 chemical treatments (relaxer and rinse). The stylist stated she would not complete this service until the waiver was signed. When I asked why I didnt receive the waiver at the beginning of my service, which wouldve allowed me to refuse without penalty, no response was given. I then watched her do the same thing to another client about 2 hours later (no waiver was given at the beginning of the service). The stylist also showed no regard for my hair/skin. The black rinse residue was left on my skin near the edge line and no precaution was taken to prevent this.Additionally, the stylist marked me as a no-show following the appointment to prevent me from leaving a review on the booking platform. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional and illegal at its worse. I am now left with chemically altered hair in a style that does not match what the stylist agreed to perform. I also reached out to the stylist to inquire about the products used as I am experiencing some residual tingling in my scalp and would like to address. No response from the salon.I am requesting a refund as soon as possible and an investigation by the BBB. This salons negligent action can cause serious health effects especially given the chemical treatments involved. Prospective clients should be aware of her behavior before booking.

      Hi this message is in regards to the customer complaint regarding the services,requesting refund, anchemical reaction and our salon policy/waiver! Our booking policy is posted on our website.we also sent a copy of our booking policy to all clients when they booked an appointment. The client was late for her appointment and was marked as a NO-SHOW due to her being late. she arrived minutes later and asked apologize for being late and we accommodate her. Upon arrival we realized she looked nothing like the picture she submitted for her pre consultation,so we asked she retake them. She was given the salon wavier to sign and she refused. We explained the importance of the salon policy and she has to sign it. The client has extreme amounts of pigmentation and rashes all around her neck and hairline. We made sure there were no issues with any chemicals that could cause any damage to her skin. She didnt leave the salon with any chemicals burning or residue on her skin or face.       I am writing to file a complaint against a hairstylist at twinsunisexsalontheglam who operates in Brooklyn *** . On 4/1/2024, I had booked an appointment with the hairstylist for a haircut and styling, and I was quoted a price of $140 for the deposit of the service.When I arrived at the salon at the designated time of my appointment, the hairstylist refused to open the door and only only spoke to me via the intercom. She informed that she had made changes to the salon policy since my appointment was made but so I had to leave without receiving the services that I had paid for.This caused confusion and inconvenience, as I had not been made aware of the change and was not able to comply with the new policy.I believe that the actions of the hairstylist are unacceptable and unprofessional. Not only did she fail to provide the services that I had paid for, but she also failed to inform me of the changes in salon policy that affected me as a customer.Therefore, I request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate action against the hairstylist, so that other customers do not have to face similar issues in the future.       I ***************************** is responding to this claim on behalf of twinsunisexsalon. The salon has a booking policy/ pre consultation process that we sent out to all clients that booked and have a scheduled appointment with us. The policy is also posted on our website, we request 2 photos of all clients with their hair and face included. When this client shows up to her appointment she refuses to comply with our request. We asked for ID and she refused to show ID . The name on the appointment was not matching the name on the card used for the booking. The name on the appointment was **************** .she didnt comply with our booking policy. And her deposit was none refundable. Our policy stands. Thank you for your time. ****** Williams

      I schedule an appointment on Saturday May 14th to get my hair done on Wednesday May 18 the stylist required to pay 65% deposit before the appointment and she also only accepts cash app and Venmo payment, and also she want pictures of your hair before the appointment, on Sunday I pay $185 for a down deposit because the total was 285 and then I texted her to let her know that I sent her the deposit, and I also told her that I couldnt take the picture of my hair that day because my hair is braided I told her that Ill take the picture on Monday and send it to her but she never answer my text or my call, then on Monday morning I received an email saying that my appointment was canceled by the stylist, when I try to call to ask why she never answer I text she never answer, and she didnt even refund the money, I went on cash app I request a refund she declined it and I believe she block my phone number, my concern is that if she cancel the appointment she should have return the money back which she didnt, come to find out she did this to a lot of different people please I need help to get my money back.       The client was scheduled for a appointment on 5/18/22 we send her our booking policy with with instructions and requirements on what to submit to complete her booking and she didnt submit the requested requirements. The appointment was canceled and we reached out to her via email letting her know she need to submit the receipt and pictures and rebook her appointment. She then agreed and rebook and submit all the requirements requested. On the schedule date of the appointment she was a NO-SHOW. We contact he via email and text message letting her she didnt show up for her scheduled appointment,and she respond back by saying she didnt want the services because it would be done well. She didnt cancel the appointment. Thats result in none refundable deposit. Like our policy states. THIS COMPLAINT WAS FILED BEFORE HER SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. Shes just trying to get her deposit back and slander our business. We have attached all the proof above. Thank you Twinsunisexsalon

      I went to ****** on 5/27 to style my hair for my 12:15 appt. I arrived at 12 I waited 3 hours and no one even started my hair. I was talked down to by staff and dealt with by ****** in a very rude manner. I asked her if I would be seen by 530pm. She said no chance In **** I told her I had to pick up my son from daycare and she ignored me. Once I got to the door she immediately marked me as a no show: to make sure she money and I couldnt write a review, I tried to report to cash app they said they cant help, I asked her for a refund she refused. To make matters worse I went fo pay a stylist who actually did my hair and the money went to her as well by mistake. I asked her for refund, clearly it was a mistake and she declined my request. She never did my hair but now has $240 of my money. She is a SCAM ARTEST

      First Twinsunisexsalon we send all clients 2 copies of our policy before their scheduled appointments.  1 the date in the complaint is incorrect (2 ) the deposit amount/payment is incorrect. The booked an appointment for (wash cut & style) which is $145 her deposit amount was $72 . We have proof of payment. She was scheduled for 12:15  she was seated by the assistant few minutes into her appointment she asked the assistant what time would she be finished, the assistant responded by letting her know she dont know what time she would be finished because theres someone else ahead of her. She made the decision to leave and the assistant informed her that will result in her losing her deposit and she agreed. As a business we not responsible for clients personal issues outside of the salon. The time for a service is 3 to 4 hours deposit on the state of the clients hair condition. I will attach all the proof to back up our claim. This  complaint is to slander my reputation and business. All false claim. Our is also listed on our website. Payment received from this client for this appointment was $72 .
