I signed a contract with *********************, President of Brick Tech Contracting Corp of **************************************, to replace our sidewalk and curb. After an unreasonable amount of time repeatedly delaying the work, in September of 2022 he said if he couldn't get the permit he would return our money. After further delay we then requested the job be cancelled and our $2,250 deposit returned. He has repeatedly promised to return the money but in reality refuses to do so. He has claimed to be out of the country, out of the state, that the check has been mailed, that h*** come to our home to drop it off, and ultimately stopped communicating with us altogether and we still dont have our money back. No work whatsoever has been done, so at this point this is straightforward felony theft. As you can see by the ridiculous text message thread we've been more than patient, given more than ample time for him to resolve this amicably, and we would prefer to avoid the annoyance of small claims court. We would simply like our deposit back and to move on.Customer response

Hi,I am having issues with Brick Tech Contracting Corp. (****) who keeps promising to fix problems incurred at Brooklyn address. I have been getting one excuse after another (out of the country, father in jail, can't get reliable workers, out of town, too busy, etc). Contract is dated June 4, 2022 and initial total price noted on contract was $19,500. Photos attached reflect poor outcome of driveway which is discolored and I was told by **** that a complaint was filed with cement distributor, and Asad can't replace until claim is settled; I was also told that garbage storage room leak under the front of house steps would be repaired (leak is awful during rainfall), and still am waiting for that to happen; driveway was not properly leveled and shows in attached garage door photo, and no response on that; and photos of sidewalk depict an awful, rushed job for which I was also told would be repaired. My elderly mom lives at this property, and Brick Tech Contracting Corp. has been paid in full. Unfortunately, these errors were all noticed after job was paid for in full. I really hope that ****/Brick Tech Contracting Corp. get the job finished in April when weather will be better, but I am trying to get a date in writing, and they refuse to provide. Last spoke to **** today, but tried calling back, and will not answer nor answer texts.Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.Customer response
