Overview
Contact Lens Exam: This exam consists of 3 steps: 1. Contact lens exam. 2. Contact lens training. 3. Follow up. Don’t worry! We will train the first time wearers diligently! If we have your contacts lenses in stock you will walk away with a trial pair in your eyes. It does happen that we need to order your trail lenses. You can confirm your prescription after 1-2 weeks of wear.
Color Fundus Retinal Photography: We use a fundus camera to record color images of the interior surface of the eye including the retina, retinal vasculature, optic disc, macula, and posterior pole (i.e. the fundus). Fundus’ photo helps doctors document the presence of disorders and monitor their change over time.
Diabetes Eye Care: Diabetic retinopathy is the most common cause of vision loss among people with diabetes. Diabetes may also cause glaucoma, cataract and other eye problems.Yearly eye exams are mandatory for patients suffering from Diabetes. Please know that even if your vision is fine and you don’t feel any discomfort your eyes may be damaged.
Dry Eye Treatment: Many people suffer from Dry Eye, when eyes do not produce enough tears or the right quality of tears. Eyes often feel irritated itchy, or burning Eye drops are often used to treat dry eye. Dry eye is also treated with punctal plugs. These are tiny devices inserted into tear ducts. Plugs stop fluid from draining from the eye and keep the eye surface moist.
Visual Field Test: A visual field test is a method of measuring an individual’s entire scope of vision, that is their central and peripheral (side) vision. Visual field testing maps the visual fields of each eye individually and can detect blind spots (scotomas) as well as more subtle areas of dim vision. Visual field test is helpful in early detection of glaucoma.
