I sent Hagstrom a $2,000.00 deposit for a client. The client ended up going with a different agent so we are due a refund. Their phone number does not work and they will not answer any emails.Customer response

I am writing to report Hagstrom Management in Brooklyn which collected $3,795 from me and two roommates on August 5, ************************************************************ off the market. Hagstrom then proceeded to continue showing the apartment and attempted to pressure us into back dating the lease in order to charge rent for several extra weeks. We felt uncomfortable with the dishonest way Hagstrom was doing business and requested that the deposit be returned to us. For several months Hagstrom did not respond to our calls or emails. It was only when our attorney contacted Hagstrom threatening legal action that Hagstrom agreed to give me a check for $3,795 which I immediately deposited in my bank account. My bank just notified me that Hagstrom has stopped the check with no explanation. Once again, they are not responding to my calls and emails. I do not know what else to do but feel Hagstrom should be held accountable. I see other complaints listed about Hagstrom here and on other consumer sites.Customer response

I have been contacted by a representative from Hagstrom Management and they are willing to negotiate a compromise. Therefore I believe complaint ID ******** is as settled as it will ever be.

I cosigned a lease for my son *************************** for an apartment at **********************. ****** moved in on Sept.1 and found that it was infested with rats in walls and all over the outside. He could not come into the building after dark without chasing 100 rats off the front stoop and he could not sleep there for the rats squeeling and mating. He spoke with the landlord and with Hagstrom Management who all apologized to him and admitted the issue. He told them he was moving and expected a refund. He moved out before the end of the month and left the key there. We have reached out to Hagstrom by phone and email five times with no response.
