Purchased tickets for my wife and I to run in a Tough Mudder event in **. Tough Mudder canceled due to:A combination of logistic and delivery setbacks outside our control made it unlikely that we would be able to deliver a satisfactory event this fall in the Carolinas; therefore were saddened to let you know that we have decided to cancel the Tough Mudder Carolinas event. I paid a combined total of $208.20 for the tickets on 5/8/2022. Tough Mudder allowed a refund option which I requested on 6/9/2022. Tough Mudder advised money was to refunded within ***** days. I had to follow up with them 5 times via e-mail and they then refunded me $91.75 on 8/19. Note that this isn't even the price of one ticket. They then researched the matter further and said my wife didn't request a refund though the tickets were purchased together from my credit card account. They are saying we are now beyond the date to request a refund and not allowing me to get a refund on the total $208.20 but allowing me the option to run in another race or use that money at their online store.I find this to be completely unreasonable since it was canceled at their discretion and I completed the necessary forms to be refunded the entire amount of the tickets.Customer response

On 18May22 I paid $160 for a race event to be held on 08Oct22. Due to a conflict in scheduling, I needed to cancel my race registration. I reached out to them on 15July22 informing of the need for cancellation and requesting a refund. I was then informed that an email was sent out in June that the entire event had been cancelled and it outlined potential options for participants to take (transfer registration to someone else/another race, or submit a refund request). The email said the refund request deadline was 09Jul22. I did not receive this information until 19Jul22 when I was speaking personally with a Tough Mudder representative about my situation. I have inquired multiple times about how a refund should still be possible since me not receiving an email from them is their error but they continue to say it isnt possible. The friend I was going to race with was in the same situation of not knowing the event had been cancelled and contacted them. She received an email update that she would be refunded a portion of what she paid.Customer response

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Tough Mudder regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

They claim they are unable to process a refund after the cutoff date even though a refund was given to my colleague after the cutoff date.

I can't get anyone to respond to my multiple emails requesting that they change my date and event to Oct 16 in *************, the 10K at 10 am. I accidentally paid for the incorrect date and event and only want to change it. Their website will not apply my payment to the event I want to change it to and is only allowing a full payment, like I never paid anything.
