Pocono Stay took over my lease approx 1 year into my 3 year lease. I lived in 1st floor apartment of a 2 story home. A family of 4, 1 one those being a toddler, lived in the 2nd floor. There was no sound barrier so I was woken up starting at approx. **** am through sometimes midnight by this toddler running, jumping, pounding, screaming, and crying nonstop. They did nothing about it. This significantly began to affect my well being. I couldn't have company over either as the noise was that disruptive. I spoke with a lawyer about my rights and the very next day there was a lease violation hanging visible to anyone on my front door. The violation stated there was a marijuana smell coming from my apartment. This was the retaliation from the upstairs neighbors. I did inform the property manager, that I did not use marijuana in my home ever. She never came to check. I ended up moving out due a family emergency and I found out there were teenaged squatters living there when I was not there. I did update the property manager but she refused to change the locks as I requested and allowed the teens to stay and use marijuana. I continued to pay rent until a new renter moved in. So I paid over **** to move in and paid for the last month twice. When I moved in, the carpet was not in good shape at all. It was ripped, stained and had a large burn from an iron. I got notice that this company used my entire deposit, over **** dollars to fix up the apartment, including new carpets and paint to get out the marijuana smell. They also charged me some of December's rent which I had no idea about. I have hundreds of video's of what I had to endure living there and the noise as well as being harrassed by the property manager making accusations about me instead of actually investigating the situation herself. This is a true definition of greed. They are crooks and terrible terrible landlords! They do NOT care about your well being at all and they will steal from you! Be aware!
