Signed a 2024 annual service contract with this company where I am contracted for two visits per year. To date not one visit has occurred, in addition, they are absolutely unreachable by phone and never answer emails. I had a pest emergency and needed service, tried to reach them for a week with no success. Their representative, ************************* confirmed that I would be refunded and four weeks later, no refund.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

As of 7/15/2024, I have NOT received the refund which was supposedly "processed" per the business' response.  This is the second time I have been told my refund is being "processed".  This complaint is not closed, as they still owe me money.

I have a service contract with JP McHale. They are supposed to come to both my house and my cottage and spray inside and outside of both homes on a monthly basis. Over the last months, I lost the ability to schedule an appt and was told that I would receive 24 hours notice for each visit. Last week, I received an automated call letting me know that the technician would arrive on Thursday May 25th. No one showed up. I subsequently received an invoice for service on the 25th.. When I called to enquire as to why I would receive an invoice, I was informed that they performed an "overwintering service". They went on to say that this was a service where someone sprays around the periphery of my home. - I explained that this was untrue as I was working remotely all day with a clear view of my driveway. I have ring cameras along the periphery of my home and if anyone came, my cameras would have alerted me- which was not the case. *****, the fellow I spoke with, said he would follow up with me on this. I then asked why my service technician had not shown up for the month of May since the last visit was on 4/26th. ***** informed that that the company changed the contract and now they would only be coming to the house 3x/year. I asked ***** to cancel my service and he said he could not do that. It could only be done by a supervisor and explained there was no supervisor in the office. I let him know that I would be filing this complaint and he then offered to cancel my service. I do not trust this company, and have no intention of having them at my home going forward.

      Hi ******,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. When **** merged with JP McHale, members were enrolled in our HPP plan which charges monthly but services are broken apart based on the effectiveness of our treatments and of course, any call backs are free of charge. It seems your issue has been taken care of, but if you have any other concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at ****************************** or **************. In the future, we will improve communication so a similar incident does not occur.

In 2020, I began doing business with a company called Amtech Pest Control. I had very good service and was happy with their performance. Over that period of time up until the present, I have been in treatment and recovery from ********** ******. Amtech slowly lessened their visits and then checked in only occasionally and would always leave a calling card on the door if I was not at home and would promptly send a bill for their service, which I paid. Over the last year (2022 to present) I noticed that I no longer received any bills, not was there any evidence that anyone had come to service my home. As the issue was long resolved, I assumed that they would only return if I called them, which I did not. On April 4, 2023, I received an invoice claiming they had serviced the house 13 times between March of 2022 and April of 2023. I found no emails, no bills, and no evidence of their visits on my security cameras. The new company (I assume bought out Amtech) JP McHale Pest Management, LLC. was claiming I had a new balance of $839.10 I saw by similar customer reviews, that this has happened to other customers and I not only will not pay for a service I didn't request or receive, but due to my disability, I am on a very fixed income and need this issue taken care of immediately as JP McHale is also threatening me with creditors and putting my credit rating in jeopardy. I would rather not contact my attorney as I have other matters to attend to, but will do so if necessary. I would appreciate any assistance you could give me with this issue as JP McHale have been uncooperative when I attempted to contact them by phone. Thank you very much for your time and have a great day!

      Hi ***********,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It is unfortunate that we were not able to communicate with you properly following the Amtech merger with JP McHale, but to resolve this issue we have credited your account and you should be contacted by billing soon. If there are any other concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at ****************************** or at **************.

I was a customer of JP ********************** pest control with a service contract. I canceled the service in August 2022. Several days AFTER the cancelation, they sent someone to perform service. (Spray yard for insects). They continue to bill me for $566.61 despite the fact that I had canceled service. I attempted to resolve this by calling 5 times to speak to someone. Each time I explained what happened, they said someone would call me back to discuss but no one ever has. Yet they continue to bill me. This is unethical - this charge should be removed. (Also unacceptable that I called to resolve 5 times and still no one has called me back - most recently on 2/6/23 and was told Id have a call back in 24 hours.)

We cancelled our service with JP McHale Pest Control several months ago. We canceled because they refused to give us more than 24 hours notice of treatment for our house. I canceled service and asked them not to return to our property. Since then, they have sent notice on 3 separate occasions saying that they were going to come out to provide treatment on the following day. On each occasion, I called to tell them that we have cancelled our contract and they do not have our permission to come to our property. This morning, as I was leaving for an appointment, I encountered a McHale truck in my driveway with a technician getting his equipment ready to spray pesticides on our property. They provided no notice of service, and sent a technician in direct contravention of our repeated expressed desire that they not return to our property.I asked the technician to leave. I told him that next time I would call the police. He apologized and left. When I arrived at my destination for my appointment, I called the office to tell them that I am lodging a complaint with BBB and the Chamber of Commerce. I informed them that the next time a technician shows up on our property, I am going to photograph the vehicle and file a complaint with the police.Clearly, they refuse to accept our demand that they close our account. I would like the BBB and Chamber of Commerce to send them a notice instructing them not to return to our property and informing them that failure to adhere to our wishes will result in a complaint of criminal trespass.
