I had my apron redone in September 2021 by 716 Concrete for 2,800. One heavy snow fall and using a snow blower only once caused damage to areas of apron and a chunk of concrete came apart. NOW I HAVE TO CALL ANOTHER CONCRETE COMPANY TO REDUE IT AFTER HAVING IT DONE FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS.Business response

Lisa text me a picture of the end of her apron damaged. It was between the curb cut and the street, I told her it was from the town plow truck, and her response was "would that be from the town plow or the guy that plows my drieway?" I responded "it's from a plow. Which one, I can't answer. My advice would be to call them both. Maybe the plow guy will patch it so it wouldn't cost you anymore aggervation." To which Lisa responded "I've have people in and out of NY driveway No one is going to admit to it. It's a small area can it be cut out and repoured. If not it's ok." I'll include all of our texts as attachments for you to reference. They include the date and times.Initial Complaint

I used 716 Concrete for a new colored *********** concrete patio, small side concrete slab and re-color / seal an old concrete pad that would be connected to the new pad. 04/24/2021 provided an acceptance of contract and paid a $500.00 check. The work was done over the course of a month (August-September) due to multiple no shows, mistakes and damages to the patio. I paid a $7000.00 check before being advised he had not completed the job and had more to do. Poured and sealed the concrete incorrectly and has yet to make corrections to his work. Did not complete the job. I made contact with different lawyers and was advised that it would not be worth the money spent on lawyer fees to get any type of refund. I left a ****** review under “******* ****” to the company “716 Concrete” with more details and photos provided.Business response

I made several documented trips to address the customers complaint. I advised the customer to push the project back because of how wet his yard was, and customer did NOT want to wait, because he was having other projects done around the new concrete pad being placed in his yard. So he said he was not concerned about his lawn and he would take care of it. As for the old pad, I told him I could not guarantee it would take color due to the concrete not being fresh/new. I even stripped the sealer, re-colored, and re-sealed because the customer didn't want to pay for colored concrete to begin with. Than when I saw cut the patio along the cuts, the natural color of concrete showed. So I made several documented trips back to the customers house over the next two weeks to strip the sealer and recolor the patio. The customer than said the saw cuts were too dark and he wanted the sealer stripped again and the color re-done again because the joints were too dark compared to the rest of the pad.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The business was careless about destruction of property as seen in the photos. To the yard / siding of the house and other existing concrete Walk way. No reimbursement made! The business stated that I “didn’t want to pay for colored concrete to begin with” is a complete lie. I paid for a ********** coloring for the concrete patio. I was told the only difference between a colored concrete and ********** color concrete was the way it was applied. Besides how does this change the poor quality of the patio color?!? As provided in the photos- the business attempted to fix his saw cut marks by painting the cuts with a paint brush leaving a dark strip of color throughout his cuts. It was discussed he would color the entire patio so the color would blend in together and not look the way it does now (photos). As for the old pad that he recolored and sealed…looks worse than it originally was and never was fixed by the business - As provided in the photos. The business claims they have made “several documented trips to address the customers complaint” - a compete lie! I tried to contact the business through text messages and phone calls to address the problems with the patio. Multiple voicemails and text messages were ignored. After I made a negative google review, the company was quick to respond. I then contacted him via text, to resolve the situation AGAIN. He responded that he was told by his lawyer not to respond to me. My concrete patio is still left incomplete. As provided by the photos. No attempt to reimburse me any money or even fix his problems were made. I have had other concrete companies provide me a quote to fix his mistakes. Which will cost me close to $12,000.00. Regards, ******* ****
