I received several calls from this company starting on 9/10, where a representative called me 3-4 times attempting to negotiate a payment on a debt. During the calls and voicemail, the representative mentioned a pending judgment from their legal department. When I asked for documentation or a copy of the notice, as I had never received it, I was told they could only send me a payment arrangement and refused to provide any further documentation. When I tried to verify the debt, the representative became pushy and even suggested they would garnish my wages if I didn’t pay immediately, stating that verifying the debt is just a way people try to get out of paying. I felt rushed and uncomfortable, especially since this was all happening during work hours. I called back during my lunch break to ask for clarification and proper documentation, but the representative again refused and said they would mark it as a refusal to pay. Despite my efforts to ask for documentation and clarity, they sent me a payment agreement via DocuSign, but I didn’t feel comfortable signing it without first receiving proof of the debt. I then emailed them, requesting all future communication be in writing and asking for proper documentation. Then 9/17, I received a call from a different representative, who stated they do not handle communication through email or text, further adding to my confusion. I believe this company is using intimidation tactics and not honoring the legal requirements under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), including providing proper verification of the debt. I feel pressured and threatened, and their refusal to provide documentation makes me question the legitimacy of the debt they are trying to collect. I am seeking proper documentation and a resolution that adheres to the law, but I am being met with unprofessional and potentially unlawful behavior. I would like the debt verified and all communication via writing per address on file

I am writing in response to correspondence I received claiming that I owe a balance of $2,025.00 on 07/29/2024 to ********. I firmly dispute this debt as it is based on false information. The lease from ******** incorrectly states that a couch was never returned. This is false. The couch in question was, in fact, refunded on January 12, 2022 | 08:35 PM EST. Furthermore, all other items listed in the lease have been paid off in full. Given these facts, I do not owe any outstanding balance to ********. I hereby formally dispute this alleged debt and demand that: This false information be immediately removed from my account. No negative information be reported to any credit bureaus regarding this matter. All collection efforts cease immediately. As per my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I request NO FURTHER CONTACT REGARDING THIS MATTER. Any future communication, except to notify me that collection efforts have ceased or that legal action will be taken, is a violation of the FDCPA.

The account number listed on the credit report is ********. As of July 4, 2024, the date that is stated on the credit report says the account was opened was 02-19-2021, and the date it was updated was 03-31-2023. I have no idea as to who this agency is since I do not have a contract with Huntington Debt Holdings, nor have I ever heard of them. A contract was not presented to me prior to today, even when asked. They have provided erroneous information and have infringed upon my identity as well.

Our company is in receipt of, and has reviewed, the complaint submitted by ******** ******** and forwarded to our company on July 8, 2024. Huntington Debt Holding, LLC (HDH) is a passive debt buyer that purchases charged off consumer accounts and places them for collection. HDH does not engage in credit reporting activities.HDH purchased Ms. ********'s account from Check N Go, and therefore her contract, on or about August 8, 2022. This is the first request for validation HDH has received from the consumer. Accordingly, I have attached the contract (signed by the consumer) and payment history (which shows the balance as on the credit report.) Of note, HDH is not the reporting company on the debt, it is the original creditor- Check N Go. As HDH has investigated the dispute, and completed our due diligence in validating the account in it's entirety we consider the matter closed. It remains an open collection item. If Ms. ******** would like to discuss the matter, I can be reached at ###-###-#### M-TH 8 am to 5 pm and Friday 8 am to 3 pm. Thanks for allowing us to respond.Sincerely, Dennis N D******** CCO/CRCP

rom: ******* ***** *** * **** *** ************ ***** ******* ********** Re: Dispute of Debt and Request for Validation Information I am writing to dispute the debt you are attempting to collect from me in the amount of 10,000. I have reviewed the information you have provided and I am contesting the validity of this debt for the following reasons: 1. Failure to Provide Validation Information: Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), specifically 12 CFR 1006.23(b)(5), you are required to provide me with written validation information within five days of my initial request. This information must include the amount of the debt, the name of the original creditor, the date the debt was incurred, and a statement of whether you are attempting to collect interest. I have not received any such validation information. Therefore, I demand that you immediately provide me with the complete and accurate validation information required by law. 2. Uploading of Incorrect Documents: Furthermore, I am deeply concerned about the documents you have uploaded to my account. I have reviewed these documents and they do not pertain to any debt that I owe. This action violates 15 U.S.C. § 1681-i(7) of the FDCPA, which prohibits debt collectors from using unfair or deceptive practices. I demand that you immediately remove these incorrect documents from my account and refrain from using any such tactics in the future. If I do not receive the requested validation information and confirmation of the removal of the incorrect documents within 30 days from the date of this letter, I will be forced to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) The Attorney General and with the i will also pursue any other legal remedies available to me. This company has been harassing me through a third party for a debt that I have asked for proof of for multiple years. SRS has contacted me nearly daily for this entire time and can't confirm anything on the debt. They have taken my money on false pretenses and uses your name as the owner of the debt. I'm at a loss. Harassment and fraud are surely only a small part of their business.

Our company is in receipt of, and has reviewed, the complaint submitted by ***** ****** and forwarded to our company on October 26, 2023. Huntington Debt Holding is a debt buyer, that purchase defaulted consumer accounts and forwards them to third party collection agencies for handling.

A thorough investigation ensued and it is the position of our company that the limited collection activities by the agency were done in a lawful and compliant manner. Additionally, this is the first request for validation by the consumer. As Mr. ****** is requesting the underlying documents, a copy of the same is attached and has been emailed to the consumer at ************@GMAIL.COM. The documents and the letter are attac

The consumer has requested a refund as relief, but the consumer has not made any valid payments to Huntington Debt Holding, LLC or the agency.

It is our position that the complaint is unfounded and that all activities were conducted lawfully and compliantly.

This will acknowledge and thank you for the opportunity to respond. The Consumer's account was purchased by Huntington Debt Holding LLC on or about 04/18/2023. There is no record of any form of communication from the consumer requesting documentation. This is the first and only request. I have attached a payment history showing the consumer's payments, as well as a contract. If the consumer does not feel that they 'are not liable for the debt,' they should file a fraud police report, or go to the FTC fraud site - https://***********.***.gov/#/assistant. Additionally, Huntington Debt Holding LLC does not credit report and has not done so in this case. The consumer will need to file the fraud paperwork and supply it to the original creditor and/or the credit reporting agency that the tradeline is on. HDH has no control over the tradeline reported by ****** or ***.

I received a call from Ashley who insisted I owed a debt to a company called xact back in 9/21 I told her the account was fraudulent and I had disputed it numerous times she insisted that I was a liar, that no one could open an installment loan without my information. I asked for a debt validation letter. She sent an email with 2 attachments I could not view. I reviewed the information I could open which listed the address incorrectly and no banking information to where the money was supposedly deposited my name was typed in for a signature. The email came from ****** capital management but the debt collector is listed as Huntington holdings, LLC. No contact information listed for the original creditor except the name xact which the debt on my credit report is ******** for the same debt! I replied to this email listing the inaccuracies and disputed as fraud. I received a spam call today with a voicemail from a woman claiming to be searching for a location for my name with a contact number and extension for Ashley. I call back and spoke to her she sends me up the chain telling me the fraud claim wouldn’t be processed and I could settle the debt for $1k today for a pay for delete as I am trying to purchase a home. I get transferred to another woman who tells me that they are not able to complete a pay for deletion and they do not report to the credit bureaus. I asked to speak with her supervisor Dennis tells me that Huntington owns the debt but cannot give me a pay for delete without getting permission from the original creditor who they purchased the debt from. He told me I could dispute it with the FTC fraud department and apologized for the “misspoken” agreement of both his co workers. He was supposed to send me an email after he spoke with this so called xact never heard from him again. I told him I have multiple documents of proof that the account was opened fraudulently including letters from the bank they sent it to. I want it deleted off my report asap!

      07/01/2022

Thanks for the opportunity to respond! Huntington Debt Holding, LLC  aims for the highest customer service standards and continues to do so in this matter. Ms. ****** is claiming fraud and was provided with a copy of the online contract. At the same time she is offering to pay the account for a deletion of the tradeline on her credit report. As has been explained a number of times, the tradeline is being reported by the seller and neither ACM or HDH have the authorization or ability to delete the tradeline. I await an answer from the seller for the Consumer's request, but, as explained a number of times, Ms. ****** should go to the FTC website or obtain a police report from her local precinct and file her documentation with the credit bureaus. The credit bureaus will note the account as fraud and, in many cases, will remove the tradeline. Unfortunately Huntington Debt Holding is unable to meet the consumer's demand for deletion and awaits the seller response. In the interim, the consumer should file with the FTC. As a courtesy, I have attached the link to the FTC, once again- https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
