Took money from us through his electronic site for lawncare, twice. Then for snow removal and never showed up. Have texts to prove all of this. My wife just texted that she had to rush off to the bank because he, Dustin E**** used the checking account and took money from us!! He advised he would refund the snow removal, ghosted. Now we find he's been fraudulently using my wife's account!!Initial Complaint

He was to do snowplowing, the driveway, front porch, stairs, walkway and sidewalks. He was here 2 times after I had to track him down and hear excuses and more excuses. Neither time was the job fully done and when asked, it was over 24 hours till he responded nasty and confrontational. Never offered an apology or to come fix it. When I asked for my money back on Feb 4th I was told I have to wait for the secretary. I have not heard from him since then. I have since found out he is a scam and have many people he took the money to plow and never showed up.Initial Complaint

Entered into a contract in October and he required all money up front which I paid with no complaint. He had done snow removal for this property before I purchased it, so I hired him since he came recommended from prior owners. He was very nice and professional. The big snow storm hit in 2023 and he didn’t show up for two days. He apologized said he had to fire someone in that time frame and he was two trucks down and I thought, okay that sucks. I’ll give him another chance. I made it clear at the beginning of our contract I needed to be cleared out before 6am as my partner is a nurse at the hospital and I am a volunteer fire fighter. He promised to meet the time requirement and that he’d plow every two inches. The next snow fell Jan 19, he advised he was swamped and didn’t show up until 7p even though I advised we almost got stuck that morning. The final snow fell 2/18 and he never, ever showed up again. I have called multiple times (no voicemail box) and texted multiple times (no answer). It has been absolute silence from him. I have had to hire another company who responded promptly. I feel absolutely disappointed and honestly a bit scammed. I tried to be patient considering his business concerns but the fact that I never heard back again and have never had our contractual obligations met makes me feel scammed.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction: 11/26/23 Amount paid: $706.88 Invoice detail: snow plowing services from Oct 1-March 15, plow service will be completed by 7am on weekdays Snow storm ensued starting 1/13/24 and has been ongoing since (date of complaint 1/17/24). Plow service came 1x over the course of 3ft of accumulation (he arrived on 1/16 1am) however service was already completed by us because he told us he could not provide the service due to being down staff members. 2 more ft have fallen today alone. Plowing was not completed by 7am- company contacted at 11:30am and owner informed us he would not be able to uphold the contract and plow our property. A refund was requested however he did not reply to this.Initial Complaint

I hired Captain's Lawn Service for snow removal service and he never showed up. The contract states he would come over every time there was more than 2 inches, and he has not arrived even once. The total charge was about $705 and I was also fraudulently charged 2x in December 2023 for over $5k each, totaling over $10k in charges.
