    On May 16, 2023, May 30, 2023, and June 13, 2023, BBB attempted to contact Montess LLC regarding a pattern of serious complaints and requested a written response outlining steps they will implement to avoid similar complaints in the future. As of September 18, 2023, Montess LLC has not responded to our request, and has not responded to BBB complaints on file.

    BBB finds that a pattern of complaints exists concerning consumers signing contracts with the business and providing payment. Montess LLC fails to return to provide the scheduled services. Consumers also report that Montess LLC has not replied to their phone calls or text messages.

    BBB has concerns about Montess LLC’s practices and urges consumers to use caution based on their complaint activity and lack of responsiveness.

      I was looking for a contractor to mow my 85 y/o stepfather's lawn. He called me and said he was from ***** company. However I contacted ***** and they have no record. Leo A****** of Montess LLC wrote up a contract. He cashed the check for $160 two days later and never returned. His address is written as *** ******* ***** ******** ** ****** Please see attachment photos as proof.

      This business was paid $200.00 to provide mowing services for a property. The check was cashed but the service was never performed despite multiple attempts to reach the business owner. I believe this business to be fraudulent with intent to deceive.

      Hired for seasonal lawn service at *** ******* ****** ************ ** ***** Gave check for $550.00 on 5/6/23. Check cashed on 5/8/23. Have not heard from Leo A****** since that date. Won't answer phone calls or text messages. Has not done any lawn service yet. Was due to come start between 5/8/23-5/13/23.

      Business owner Leo A****** saw my request for a lawn mowing service on ******* ***** He contacted me with an estimate and I accepted. Last week (Thursday 5/4/2023) he came for me to sign the contract and, as I found out after he got here, payment in full for the service. He promised to be here on Friday (5/6/2023) to provide the first mowing and never showed up. It then changed to Saturday, then to Tuesday, and now he is not answering calls or texts. The agreed on amount was $400, my mother paid $450 with a check. I have all texts on my phone showing our entire conversation.

      On May 1, 2023, my mother ******* ***** met with the Owner Leo to set up a contract for grass cutting and some landscaping work. At which time a contract was signed and a deposit of $225 was paid with the promise that service would start by May 5, 2023. However, no one ever showed up, on May 5, 2023, however, Leo contacted my mother stating that he would be sending his guys out to start the landscaping work, she then asked him about when someone would be out to cut the grass, and he told her they would be out by Saturday, May 6, 2023, at latest, however, no one showed up. Additionally, my mother paid her deposit with a personal check, which Leo deposited twice, once using a mobile app and the paper check, in which he received $450 instead of $225, however, the bank is fixing that part. So, then I reached out to Leo to try and find out what was going on and when did he think he could make it out to my mother's home, attached below is the conversations that followed, My only request is that my mother's $225 is returned to her by Leo, especially, since he said he no longer wished to do the work. instead, he is playing a game returning her money.
