    Showcase was selling an item out the back room, not putting them on the shelf. They had no price listed nor did anyone verbally tell me the price. Come to find out it's 20 dollars an item less on their website. I tried calling the number on their website to get ahold of someone to ask and their number doesn't work. I'm concerned that someone, somewhere was pocketing the extra 20 bucks a person (times 9 of these items they claimed they had). I'm in a Facebook group, which hovers around Stuffed animals. That's how I found out about this. Well it turns out that the store was charging people different prices no matter who they were. I am not sure if the price discrimination is worth a bbb complaint, but charging what you want and pocketing the extra probably is. And I truly don't understand how the item was sold to me 20 dollars more than their store claims it is online. This happened yesterday, Sept 2nd. Both to my boyfriend and myself. I'm not sure if it was an employee or someone "with an in" who posted it to our Facebook group, but showcase was supposed to sell an item for 39.99. That's what it's listed on their website, and according to someone else I must've missed it, but it is also labeled in store (as of yesterday) that 12" hugmees were 39.99 (which is what we bought). I gathered more screen shots showing how it was only this location charging what they wanted to, despite their store signage and their website price. Only the store in buffalo NY. This tells me one of two things they had a computer error OR they're pocketing the extra money. Nonetheless I've tried calling their number a million times to try and get to the bottom of this and they won't answer their phones. It seems like this is a company wide thing, that this one location was the only one over charging and telling us to not open our bags until we got in the car and to not tell anyone else what we got. So I went to showcase and purchased a 12" hugmee squishmallow. The cashier never told me a price, so I just paid and left. Didn't think anything of it, I was THRILLED to have my item. He did however tell me that they bagged my item so that "nobody would see what I got" and to be careful with it until I got home. Okay? Well get home and go on Facebook (the squoshmallow community is close but has braggers) and it turns out that the store was charging people whatever they felt like, and for me and my boyfriend this ended up being $20 a piece more than their listed price. I just want the difference back between their listed price and what we paid, if not a refund for the trouble because this is scummy. Attached is both our receipts and all the online evidence that they were overcharging us. I'd call and do this myself but they WONT ANSWER lol.
