I entered into a snow plowing contract with Eddie C********* of Reliable Snow Removal, LLC (###-###-####) on 11/1/21 for the upcoming 2021/2022 winter season. I had paid Eddie the full amount of $425 and so far has only plowed us out 5 times and not done very well. His contract states that he would clear our driveway when snow reaches 2 3/4" and if the snow accumulates further again throughout the day, then he said he would return to clear our driveway again. This hasn't been the case at all. We had quite a bit of snow the one day and our small 1 car driveway was only plowed once on that day at 5:30 a.m. A considerable amount of snow accumulated further on that day, though Eddie or his employee never returned I live in Hamburg and snow has been quite deep since yesterday, February 2nd and 3rd and no one has shown up. I've tried calling Eddie's number, though his phone says, "mailbox full", therefore, there is no way I can even leave him a message or speak with him. I also have filled out an online contact form at his webpage online, explaining all of this - yet no reply from this as well. I hired Eddie because he seemed honest, caring and reliable, though I'm very disappointed that this hasn't been the case. Two of my neighbors have come to snowplow and shovel my driveway so far 6+ times and this isn't right. I'm up in age and have a heart condition and a bad back and this is why I hired Eddie, along with what I thought was an honest person. He has my payment without performing his service. Without any means of communication, I have no other choice than to contact the BBB and ask for refund of the money that I've paid him or at minimal, a partial refund. 5 times of snowplowing and not done well, isn't right and I shouldn't have to rely upon my neighbors to snowplow my driveway when I've already paid for this service.Customer response

Hello. This is in regard to a complaint I had filed earlier this month (2/4/2022) against a company; (Reliable Snow Removal). The complaint was issued an ID# of #********. I would like to have the complaint removed or noted as resolved as the company graciously refunded my money. I signed a contract for snow removal and paid $500 for the service. The owner has a full answering machine and cannot take any new messages. He was on ******** several weeks ago responding to complaints from customers. At that time he indicated two of his trucks were in accidents and he was having difficulty meeting contracts. Since then he appears to be off of ******** and I cannot contact him.Business response

Paid for plow service for the entire season. Came only twice to plow in December 2021. In January 2022 after the first snowstorm, which was more than 3 inches per contract, no plow service was performed by the business, which is expected to occur based on the contract. Attempted to call the business several times on different occasions for resolution, no response, will go to voicemail and it will be full, and not able to leave a message. I hired Reliable Snow Removal LLC & paid $450. He only plowed 4X & haven't been here since 1/17/22. He has blocked all customers numbers. Hamburg police have many complaints against him. People have pd & he doesn't show up. He claimed & shows customers a BBB rating. He also goes by the name Eddies Snow Removal. He has cheated many people.Customer response

Unfortunately its a story I see on the news every year, except this year my family as become part of the story. Recently I lost my father and with my mother living alone I decided to hire a stow plowing service for her in Hamburg NY. After a search of the internet I decided to hire "Reliable snow removal LLC" signed a contract and paid the company ($500) for their service. Luckily in WNY we haven't had much snow fall until 1/3 when Hamburg was slammed with over a foot of snow. That is when my mom needed them the most and the company never showed. I called the number provided on the companies contact and it was disconnected. I went onto the companies ******** and found another number it again, disconnected. The comments on the companies ******** page was starting pile up with residents from WNY asking where they are, and how they are stuck in the house with children and family members who need assistance. No response from the company was given until 3 days later a ******** post was made advising how his truckers were involved in accidents they night of the storm and he could not get out. No explication on why his phone is not working or what he was going to do about it going forward. Being a life long resident of the "City of good neighbors" we decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope all works out. Then another storm came a another week later and then again another storm on 1/23 with no call no shows from the company and more people on his ******** asking and pleading for help and for him to respond. Then this week the company took down their ******** account and deleted it and the number is still not working, however I did take screenshots of the account comments knowing something like this could happen. Now going into February we are out money and out a contractor for snow removal. Residents all over WNY rely on services like this and I am wondering if you can help us get answers. We have a snowplowing contract signed by Eddie C*********,III, to plow our driveway during the 21-22 winter season, The last snowfall, 1/23/22 left approx 10 in. of snow on our driveway. This is now the morning of the 24th and we still have not seen him and we are unable to reach him by phone. Our contract was signed and paid for on 10/13/21 for $425.00. We had to hire someone to plow for an additional $45.00 per plow.
