1 starI went to Dunn Tire in Camillus for a NYS Inspection. I was told my vehicle would not pass inspection because they needed to add two new front tires to my vehicle. I advised the worker to change the tires and he advised I would have to purchase 4 new tires because they back tires would not be close in tread to the new tires. I asked the price and was told an approximate amount would be $1,500.00. I said absolutely not, and that I would go elsewhere. I was then advised they could lower the price and make it cost me “only” 1,300.00. I decided to just get it taken care of and they put on the new tires. I also had to get a new gas cap and was told I needed to drive 50-100 miles before they could make it pass inspection. I drove to work and back multiple times, over 100 miles and brought my **** back for inspection. I received a call that I needed new brake pads to pass inspection! I advised the worker I just had my vehicle there and was told there were no other issues! The worker stated that it “must have been an over sight” and that the pads needed to be changed. The worker then asked what I recently had done there and I told him my tires were replaced. I feel scammed and will NEVER go to Dunn Tire or refer any person I know l, to go there. The technician told me I had an easy flat repair when I asked for air to be put into my tire, so I scheduled an appointment to have the work done. At the appointment, the manager upon inspection told me my tread was very worn (I had just passed an inspection). Once my tire was off, the manager told me that my tire could not be patched or saved. He also told me that I needed to buy four tires due to driving an all wheel drive vehicle. I told him I was not buying four tires, as the technician told me I had a quick flat repair. Dunn tire put the spare tire on my car, as the manager told me to do a flat repair it was against the law. The manager also wanted to know who the technician was who diagnosed my car. After paying $10.99 to have my spare tire put on at Dunn Tire I left, and had a second opinion done at ***** Tire in Auburn, NY. The manager at ***** said my tire was an easy flat repair, and for $26.99 they repaired my tire. Dunn Tire in Auburn, NY has shady management. It’s ridiculous the way the manager tried to take advantage of me.

2 starsI recently visited a local Dunn Tire for two new tires to be installed on my vehicle. The staff was very professional and friendly. My issue is with the “Free” alignment check. I was told my alignment would be checked after the new tires were installed. I was under the impression I would be called if my alignment was off to confirm or deny this work. Sadly I was wrong, the free alignment check turned into a $99 charge on my total bill. In my opinion this Free alignment check is a way for them to just get more money from you. My before and after measurements according to their print out only changed by .04 degrees. So they are saying they were able to adjust my wheel alignment, the thickness of a hair. Not possible! Bottom line don’t agree to the free alignment check.Review fromDave D

5 starsAt 2 PM on Saturday 9/30 I called the Amherst store for tire repair, it was leaking & down to 15 pounds. Even though they were closing at in two hours they fitted me in, repaired the tire,nchecked the others. Thank you Dunn Tire from a very old, long time customer - since you first opened - always wonderfully pleased by your great staff. Keep up the great service! You’re #1!!! 1 starI went in for two front tires. I declined the rotation and alignment. They told me my Driver front wheel bearing had play and should be replaced. Parts and labor $359.00 then I would need four wheel alignment for an additional $99.00. I told them to just put the tires on for now and I would reschedule the work for a later date. While I was waiting for the work to be completed I heard them tell another man that he needed a wheel bearing to be replaced. There were only five of us there and I found it suspicious that two people of the five both needed wheel bearing replaced. I went to my regular repair shop the next day to have the wheel bearing checked. They said it was fine and didn't need to be replaced. They apparently work on commission at DUNN Tire and routinely bilk customers for unneeded extra services. I will never go there again and will tell all my friends and relatives about this unethical behavior.Review fromRobert E

1 starOne star is too generous. Place tells everyone who walks in that they need new tires and an alignment. obviously they work on commission. Appointments don’t matter, you still wait 3 hours. They are incompetent and scammers. Worst experience ever and all I needed was an inspection for a 3 yr old car with 20k miles. I would never go there againReview fromDave W

1 starDon't waste your time and money they talk about how they will take care of tires if you buy from them they won't they will sell tires that dry rot in less than 3 years and then tell you they don't warranty that and tell you they won't fix a puncture in the center of the tread because you temporarily plugged it to get thru a late Saturday till Monday crap qserviceReview fromGreg H

2 starsSnow tire to summer tire changeover and NY State Inspection. Was told I needed a new rear suspension link to pass inspection. Okayed the job. An hour later was told job couldn't be completed because their welder was broke, they couldn't remove a nut & bolt, and they would call me when it was fixed. That was 2 weeks ago, haven't heard from them. After leaving, opened glovebox, it slammed open because spring was removed and laying inside. This was from them checking cabin air filter to upsell me, leaving particles that fell out of filter in box and floor. They didn't feel it was necessary to tell me the box had been boken by the tech. The next morning one of the mounted tires was flat from rim sealant leak. I called them and they wanted me to drop my car off and leave it for the day so they could remount it. Riduculous. I have been using Dunn twice a year since 2015 to changeover tires. They always leave the tires coated in dripping sealant, just no pride in their work, they don't care and are interested in upselling you things like gas treatments and various filters that you never asked them to check. The "free 10 point inspection" is used to target you for additional sales. I always used the Sheridan Dr. location but the last 2 times the air pressures in tires were all different, all overinflated up to 14 lbs. I decided to try a different Dunn location and picked Walden Ave. In Lancaster. Big mistake. They've lost my business forever.
