I bought my car in September of 2022. I drove the car home and it did not start that same day. It took months of them dealer promising to fix this issue. He took my car into his shop for weeks at a time and there was no result. Eventually I told him that if it was not fixed, I would contact an attorney and he said that he found the problem. He took me that he would have **** ****** ****** fix it, so it was done correctly. I asked him to have the part provided from ******. The car drove for a couple of months asides from all of the other issues that were falling apart. Recently my car was having the original issue, not starting. I had to get it towed from Canada all the way back to Buffalo, just to find out that the dealer put a junkyard computer in it. This has been a money pit and I am hoping that the BBB can help.Business response

Hi Kevin, I hope everything is going well! Black Gold Resale Center is well known for selling quality and affordable used vehicles since 2016 in WNY. We sell about 350 vehicles in a year and we try our best to give the customer the peace of mind for the hard earned money that they are putting in. When we sell a vehicle here at our dealership we go over the vehicle and make sure it's safe and reliable for the customer. The 2010 ****** ****** that was purchased by ********* ****** in September of 2022, passed the NYS inspection for safety and emissions, even though the NYS Limited warranty Law (NYS Lemon Law) do not give any warranty to any vehicle that is over 100,000 miles but we were always with her (and we do the same with any other customer as well) for what she need down the road. So when the vehicle had a starting issue back in November of 2022 we took the vehicle to ****** Dealer at **** ****** ****** here on ******** *******. The service advisor located the problem where there was a faulty ECM (Engine Control Module) so at that time ****** said the part can take more than 2 weeks to arrive if they order it. I delivered what ****** said to ********* and she asked me if i can get the part from another part store but sooner? So we found a used part from the *** part store and I told ********* I have found a used working part since no other part stores had it new sooner than 2 weeks or a month according to some part stores. She agreed to put a used part in her vehicle and we delivered the part to ****** and they installed it and the car was perfectly running. In early October 2023 ********* called and she told me that she has the same issue so I was out of the country and I told her to take the car to ****** again and she did. Then we ordered the same part from the *** store since it was under the warranty period and we paid again for the labor for her car so she had the service done for free. Actually, we’re surprised that she complained about our company because of her regular maintenance work, she was always thankful for our service and help for the quality of our work, the charge of our labor rate, and flexibility with our schedules to meet her free time. We always try to keep our relationship with our customers at top levels. As an owner of Black Gold Resale Center our doors will remain open for every customer no matter what the situation is, and we will keep improving our customer service skills to prevent future issues with customers to give the best service.
