In the fall of 2022 I hired Colin to patch & fix sheet rock on entrance way of back door, lay laminate flooring throughout entire house, paint & patch bedroom wall along with kitchen & back entrance way. My walls were painted after laying the floors. Neither tape nor drop cloths were used, though I had both that had to use. I had paint splatter everywhere. Along all walls there was paint on my new flooring, trim was covered with paint, globs of painted on furniture, paint splatter on new stainless steal trash can, my good jewelry armoire was covered with paint splatter. I complained & was asked what I wanted. I explained that I wanted the floor to look like it just came out of the box & that I wanted all of the paint removed from my armoire. He did come back & tried to with no avail. After an exchange of words he told me that he would not be coming back to my house & to do what I have to do. He used my new stainless steel sink to clean brushes & didn't bother to clean it after leaving. I now have paint splatter on both my new sink & garbage can. While trying to clean both the finish looks scratched & is more noticeable than the splatter. I told him that he could use any of my paint supplies. He took 2 new paint brushes & a roller. I had to replace them. I recently had the bedroom floor replaced, trim fixed & finish patching sheet rock in entrance way. I sent him a detailed bill in the amount of $1326. He told me to take him to court. I would like to resolve this without going to court as it will be an added expense for me. He does business under the name of Finishline Construction. He told me that I couldn't report him you or the Attorney General's office because there isn't anything used under his business name. I have all receipts & pictures to back my claim.

I am responding to a complaint from ***** ****. I received a call in fall of 2022 to do a small drywall patching job and some painting as well as flooring install. I took this job on only to help the lady as I don’t normally do small jobs like this. There was no contract, no work was performed under my business and check was made to my personal name. I simply was just trying to help the lady in need. I had two helper come and help me install the flooring as well as the painting. We completed all flooring and drywall patching(small patch area). She then asked for us to paint her bedroom after the flooring was installed. All supplies was provided to us. I told her we could certainly do that and it would be $200 to patch/fix the bedroom drywall and paint. We got the job done and she paid the bill. Few days later she sends a complaint that paint splatter had gotten on the floor. I then went back cleaned up the paint splatter few spots in the bedroom (latex paint on laminate floor comes off with ease) I then however reimbursed her the $200 that I had charged plus left her a extra $100 for any troubles. I left a note with the cash as she was not home photos and texts to prove this. This however infuriated her, and she then began to falsely accuse me of stealing items that she had then found and apologized for. She has been harassing me and accusing me of bizarre things. I will not pay her the amount she is asking as the flooring was not ruined. She also held $500 towards our pay as we were short some flooring for another room, i Insisted she subtract that from what she claims I owe her but she then denied that and said I owed her even more! She was very rude and her false accusations have made it so I had to block her. She has had “issues”with other contractors as well. I believe she hires contractors has them do work and then falsely accuses them to get money back it’s to bad as I am a honest hardworking business owner that was just trying to help this senior citizen. I won’t pay her the amount she is requesting unless I am told to by a judge as I do not trust that she will let this issue go if I were to pay her.
