We hired Honey Do Men to renovate 2 bathrooms in our residence. They were extremely slow to send people out to do necessary measurements and assessments, which caused lack of faith that they were going to complete the job at all. Our initial correspondence with them was in February 2024, in June they still had not performed any of the work. Then we found out that they removed funds from our bank account without our permission, requiring us to place an ACH stop payment form, so having lost all faith we decided to terminate our contract and get a refund of our down payment of 20K given they had done absolutely no renovation work, and the only thing they did do was have the architect come and do drawings and that is what they took an additional $700 out of our account for. It has been over 2 weeks now of constant emails and calls to refund our money and no one is responding to us. We feel completely conned and taken advantage of and will be seeking legal action.

       Good morning,
We truly apologize that the situation was initially handled in a way that did not align with your expectations. Unfortunately, sometimes the banking system can take a while to process refunds. I do apologize for the delay on our end; however, according to our records, your refund has been processed.
I wish we had been able to complete the project for you because I am confident we would have done an excellent job that exceeded your expectations. With that in mind, we understand and respect your decision, and perhaps in the future, you would be willing to give our company another chance. Regardless, we wish you the best and hope your project wraps up well.
All the best, and if there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. If this action and response satisfy the needs of this complaint, we would sincerely appreciate you resolving the complaint on your end. Thank you and have a great week.

I signed a contract for work to be done and that is fine. However, the contract states "With every Major Home Improvement project we give away a free vacation voucher for 2 as our way of saying thank you for your business."I have asked them and left voice mails to see when I would be receiving the voucher. Their response was they don't know because they are no longer working with the travel agent. I paid them in full on December 30, 2022. It's February and I have not heard back from them. Do you think they broke the contract and if so, what would I do next? Attached is the contract I signed and the promise of a vacation voucher is on page 3.Thank you so much.

This is ***** from Honey Do Men. I am emailing in response to complaint Id# ********. We have checked on our company profile and I don't see any record of this complaint. We have tried to respond to this, but are unable to. Please advise on how we can resolve this issue and respond to this complaint.  We tried to log on and it just wasn't there.

The issue is that we used to offer a vacation voucher through a third party, but we are no longer working with them (and havent' for many months, due to COVID it is no longer available). The customer initially signed the contract back in May of 2022. We called the client and offered $200 (the cost of the vacation voucher) but have yet to hear a response from them. Please let us know if you can consider this matter resolved and the reason for the complaint not showing ** in our system.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Their offer of $200 is not nearly close to the amount that the contract offers.  Here is their offer on the contract:

You Can Choose Either: 7-Day Cruise, or 8-Day Condo/Resort Stay

A 7 day cruise or 8 day condo/resort stay would cost much more than $200.

      Their offer is unacceptable.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

      Sincerely,

In December 2021 they provided a quote for gutter cleaning, including downspout testing and clearing. I paid half up front by CC, and they said scheduling would call me to set up an appointment. Instead 2 guys showed up without warning when no one was home but they were captured on video from our security cameras. They never tested the downspouts as specified in contract (one was actually clogged and still is), and they zipped in and out, apparently without ever even putting the ladder ** in the front of the house. They did clearly clean the gutters in back, and left a big muddy stain on the siding. When I called to ask them to complete the work they left one voicemail saying theyd look into it, but then failed to return additional calls and simply charged my credit card for the second payment (now in dispute).
