I hired Shane to do a job in September - he made me pay upfront as he had "been burned in the past". 4 months later and work still hasn't been started. He knew how badly I needed this job done before winter as it was time sensitive. He either doesn't respond to me or assures me it'll be done by x date, then that date goes by and work still isn't started. I paid him $2,700 In September, he mentioned it would be done by the end of September and refuses to give me my money back every time I ask him for it. He leaves me on read (he has an iphone so I can see when he's read my text messages). It's too cold to do the work now and I have a deadline of February 1 to refinance my project. I've told him he's holding up construction as part of the repair was for an entry way that we've now had to build around in anticipation of a spring concrete job. I've called every concrete person in Syracuse and they all say it's too late to start a project in the dead of winter because of how cold it is. I want my money back.Initial Complaint

We hired this company to do concrete work around our newly installed pool. There was also a sun ledge that was supposed to be wrapped in stacked stone a a top ledge cap installed to finish it. We paid him in instalments as per his "contract" We ended up paying him all but $1000 which he would've got when he finished the sun ledge. Well, he never came back to complete the work. He figured it would cost him more to buy the stone and complete the job and wasn't worth it to him. Came up with excuse after excuse and then just finally blocked us and walked away. Thats only one problem. He had to do 3 different cement pours that are now 3 different colors. The stamped concrete looks absolutely horrible. We were supposed to have an 18 inch apron that was supposed be a complete different color that the rest of the patio. Didn't happen. The cement slopes towards the pool so every time it rains goes towards the pool. He never put a downspout off the getter underneath the cement. The whole project is a complete mess and we have a ton of money in the overall pool area. I want a resolution to this.
