Response taken by phone: This was an error with DMV. The vehicle was reported stolen several years ago and it was never reported as being recovered. We got this all straightened out and he has the vehicle back.Initial Complaint

I bought this car in September being told nothing wrong with it. I purchased their extended warranty and drove it for a couple weeks. Engine light came on and they repaired with new o-2 sensors. However did not cure the problem. After months of complaining & trying to resolve took back to them at which time they had it for 31/2 months to resolve. They determined immediately and admitted it was a problem before bought car (a bad catalytic converter). They agreed to try a fix but not with a new one. Then after failing said the part is on national backorder It will not pass inspection and still have 3 years pay on car. I feel they should fix it and make it right can also talk to my Dad if needed ***** ********Business response

Response taken by phone: He purchased the vehicle 4/11/2022. He called several times and we told him to bring it in but failed to show up. The catalytic converter is not covered by the warranty and was on national back order but I can now get it. I offered to install the part at my cost but we are not responsible to cover this repair almost 2 years after he purchased the vehicle.Initial Complaint

I bought a $40,000.00 vehicle from them in April 2022 with 114,000 miles on it and 2 months after having it the motor blew up after bringing it to them after a month of having it 5/25/2022 and a part in the engine was bad so they fixed it supposedly, I never got a receipt for the work done or parts. a month later 06/18/2022 I was driving and the engine light came on and started flashing and it started running rough, it was brought to the dealership a few days later to get looked at and worked on and nothing was done for 2 months and they let the extended warranty expire after getting approval to replace motor and notifying my husband on 8/18/2022 and had to buy one to replace it out of pocket. my husband is not on my loan and has nothing to do with my vehicle. They told me today 8/22/2022 after going to the dealership physically that they didn't buy a new motor and the one they ordered has around 73,000 miles on it. Still have not seen a receipt for the purchase of extended warranty and the purchase of the replacement motor or any other work that has been done. When I talked to the owner today 8/22/2022 he asked me what I would like him to do and I replied with to buy it back and he can resell it after repairs have been made and his response is I wouldn't be making much money off of it if I did that. I have already filed a complaint with the DMV as well to put out an investigation to resolve the issue.Business response

Response taken by phone: We resolved this by replacing the engine. Her extended warranty ran out but we paid to have it replaced.
