Started a remodel with this company and began to notice defects in the work. After pointing out the quality of work we were not satisfied with, the owner began to threaten us. It seems this company hires people right off the street with little to no experience, and then demands an unfair price for their subpar work. The owner has not offered to reimburse us for damaging our basement bar. Overall, the project terrible quality, they won't fix what's wrong, and are still demanding full payment. I would never recommend this place.Business response

CDRC had a contract with this individual which was signed by both parties and also all added work was approved by the homeowners above the contract cost. At this time CDRC has not received payments for the work completed to date, as all work was approved by the homeowners and passed by the local building department as it meets or exceeds industry standards. CDRC has been a member of the bureau for many years with an outstanding record! And locally a business owner for some 30+ years. We don't hire employees off the street or would that ever be our professional practice. My reputation speaks highly for itself and we are extremely qualified as one the top remodeling contractors in the Capital District region. The homeowner has refused to pay stating we ruined his bar. The bar is a small phase of this project which the homeowner purchased the stone outside the contract and CDRC charged approximately $3000 to build the bar, and apply stone that was purchased by the homeowner. CDRC was contacted 3 weeks after the work on the bar was completed by the homeowner. The homeowner stated they were unsatisfied with the stone work and was given the opportunity to have CDRC redo the stone? But the homeowner hired an outside company which is a breach of the contract between both parties. When CDRC asked for payment per the contract, the homeowner refused and stated they will have their attorney contact me. Once CDRC was told to not return to the property the homeowners and other individuals not involved with the project started leaving negative and derogatory reviews on my google page in the number of 14 to date. I have contested these reviews and ****** is investigating. Some have been removed as these reviews violates googles policies as reviews can only be left if the individual actually had an experience with that business.Customer response
