We purchased a furnace from the ********************** *************** in the amount of ******** Brand new. Originally before the new furnace installment we already had an oil company, post installment a salesman from Skagg continuously came back asking us to sign a contract with them for oil, they told us we did not have to sign a contract but we could try them out for two months and so we did. Upon trying them out we decided to go back to our original oil supplier, when ****** found out they returned to our home to provide maintenance to the furnace. We have a signed maintenance contract with Skagg for the furnace. In the maintenance appointment, they removed brand-new furnace parts and they claimed they were replaced with new parts, however, new parts were not needed. Additionally, after calling to inquire about this process and bill they canceled our furnace contract as a result of being questioned about their practices of maintenance replacements. They charged us ****** for this appointment. However, under the maintenance contract, we should not have been charged as a result of our furnace coming with a 10-year warranty. As senior citizens, we have financially and emotionally paid at the hands of this company because they did not like our choice to stay with our original oil company and they are retaliating against us .
