On 4/16/2024 I ordered pizza for A Round Pizza to be delivered and told the cashier on the phone I would pay cash. She gave me a total of $31.00. I asked for an itemized receipt. When my pizza arrived I paid the driver and then because they didnt write in a tax total I did the math to find out if they charged me correctly. the correct total should have been $30.22. They rounded my total up to the next dollar because, as the owner, Joe, told me, his drivers don't carry change so he tells his cashier to round up all orders. I asked him why he didn't just round down and he says "why should I take the loss?" I wasn't given an option to give exact change or even notified that rounding up is their business practice. he is collecting money he isn't owed and calling it tax on the receipt. My other complaint is how he charges for credit card orders. He has a cash price and a credit price posted. Ex. Pizza cash prices $14.99 and credit price $16.80 then he also charges the 3.75% for credit card processing so he is double dippingBusiness response

We do not charge any delivery fees. We will make it practice to round down for future customers who are paying in cash. We don't expect our delivery drivers to carry coin for deliveries. This customer ordered from us again the following week and complained again. Yet they ordered again. If we can be assured they will not order from us again, we will be happy to issue a refund of $31. We do not double charge for credit card fees. Our menu has both the cash and credit pricing per the NY State's requirements.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and will accept the refund. It is still not ok that this business has been stealing from customers in our town for who knows how long and how much free money they made by calling it “tax” on the receipt all because their drivers don’t carry change…. Regards, ******** *************
