On Sunday, 12/11, because of the icy ground, my car slid on the rocks by the road. I contacted a towing company named CNY Towing & Recovery later, and they came with two trucks to tow my car up and to their company 6 miles away. They charged me $1500 for the above recovery and towing service. And the invoice is also not professional with a random tax. I asked about the details of the price, the one who talked to me on the phone cursed me and refused to explain details. He threatened me that if I didn't pay then he would call the worker to get the car back and charge more storage fee after getting it back.

      01/20/2023

On December 11,2022 a ** **** called and stated he had slid off the roadway due to weather conditions and went down a embankment and is on rocks. He asked how much the charge for recovering his vehicle from the situation it was in. I advised him the charge starts out at $250.00 and goes up grom there depending on how difficult the recovery is. He agreed and understood and told me to sent someone from my company over which I did. Upon my employees arrival he observed that the vehicle was down a steep embankment and it was stuck on rip wrap rocks(which are big and have hagged edges) My employee attempted to recovery Mr. ****'s vehicle with a wrecker tow truck,he then contacted me and stated he would need a second truck to assist in tge recovery as to not cause any damage to Mr.****'s vehicle and to prevent a environmental spill condition should the rocks puncture the vehicles oil pan or fuel tank. My employees worked for approximately two hours getting the vehicle back onto the roadway. Once on the roadway it was determined that the vehicle had to be towed due to damage received when Mr.**** when down the embankment and onto the rocks. We then towed the vehicle to our shop. The charge for the recovery and tow was $1500.00 plus tax
On December 13,2022 Mr. **** called and requested his vehicle be towed to syracuse to a shop to be repaired. I told him the cost of the second tow to syracuse would be $300.00 plus tax. He said ok,then called back and said his insurance company told him the initial recovery and tow shoud only be $250.00 and said I have to reduce my price. I advised Mr. **** of the difficulty of the recovery and I was not going to reduce the price. I also advised him his insurance company does not run my company and secondly I wasn't the one who couldn't drive. Mr. **** called back several times stating I need to reduce my bill,at that time I had list my patients with him at advised him I have done $30,000 tractor trailer accidents with less correspondence than this. He then stated he wanted his car towed to Syracuse and that he had the money to pay the the entire invoice.
I had my driver load Mr. ****'s car on the rollback and tow it to Syracuse where he met Mr.****. Mr. **** then called me again and again stated I had to reduce my bill, at this time I  became highly upset and told Mr.**** that if he wasn't going to pay the bill my driver would bring the car back and he would be charged more money. He paid the invoice totaling $1902.00 the correct amount should have been $1944.00 he actually was under charged $42.00 simply for the fact my driver was flustered by Mr. **** and not use to dealing with it. (He's was a new guy to the towing business)
In conclusion my offer is nothing. I did a extensive recovery using 2 men and 2 trucks not causing and additional damage to the vehicle.
If you have any futher questions feel free to contact me.

      Sincerely
      Craig M********
