An up front contract fantastic, until every single charge we received was significantly higher than originally contracted. We were also told we were notified about the added fuel surcharge, yet we never received that communication.We requested that a small dead tree be removed. No problem ***** said, bam, $150 bill.We requested that a small portion of hedge be revisited as the original trimming was not done well, bam $175. I called the office to discuss the insanely high fall clean up price, as we had already done the majority ourselves. I specifically called back after I did not hear back to say I should not be charged a late fee as this was still being disputed. Bam, email of late payment notification.Do not hire this business. The lack of customer service and ethics is really disappointing to see in our small community.

An unsolicited crew from this business came to my residence to do a "fall cleanup" that we never authorized late on the afternoon of December 27th. The crew hopped a fence in a locked yard and proceeded to disturb areas of our property that we never have landscaped. My wife discovered what they were doing and stopped them, since we had no desire for their services. It was nearly sundown, and they left, with many large piles of leaves remaining on my back lawn and in my driveway. There were many wet and dense bunches of leaves in these piles.I phoned the business minutes that same afternoon to complain about them essentially trespassing on my property and leaving the mess. I spoke to the Office Manager, *****. For the first 15 minutes of a 20 minute conversation she couldn't find out which crew had done this, or why we were on their schedule. She actually confused us with another of their clients with a similar surname. She then claimed to see that we had in fact approved of this in a phone call on November 22nd. That contention was impossible, because much of our Fall landscaping had already been done at that time by myself and other family members. It is also the practice of this business to send out a contract and get a substantial retainer before any work is authorized. We had never gotten any such communication, or paid any retainer.She said not to worry, though, because she'd phone in the morning today to tell us when to expect them to come and resolve the issue for us. She didn't call, and when we called her this morning, we were informed they would come to remove the leaves, but that we'd be billed. This was completely unsatisfactory, and the equivalent of someone putting a hole in your roof, and then expecting you to pay them to repair it. We phoned our police department to complain about them trespassing in gaining access to our property, and for them to see the nature of the sizable and unwanted mess we'd been left with. They were alarmed at what the landscapers had done, but told us we would need to file a civil, rather than criminal, complaint. I wound up taking the bulk of the afternoon to deal with what the trespassing crew of 5 or 6 had left for me with their leaf blowing from areas they'd never have had our permission to enter. I'm relating this because someone at this business clearly is lying about their role in what happened. They're evading any responsibility in clearing up a mess that was entirely of their making. Their contention seems to be that the responsibility and burden of cleanup is ours, and ours alone, despite the fact that we never requested this work, and that under their normal way of doing business and getting a retainer, this should never have happened.We had dealt with this business on occasion in the past, but they'd done no work for us since 2018, and had never done any kind of fall cleanup for us in the 25 years that we've owned this home.
