Paid deposit of approximately $13k to have new air conditioner units installed (one was no longer working, company said that the other would likely stop working soon). Company then unable to get all equipment. Another company called in to evaluate - only 1 unit needed to be replaced, at lower cost. Cancelled with K2 - they gave me partial refund and post-dated check (2 weeks) for balance. On date of post-dated check, they informed me that they didnt have sufficient funds (again).Business response

It has been our pleasure serving you since 2017 for all your HVAC needs. This one was an unfortunate and unexpected incident. During the service call for no cooling, we found out that your second floor unit needs major repairs. Since both of your units are very old, we recommended to change both cooling units that you agreed upon. You had been informed by our office that the installation will mainly depend upon the equipment's availability, and to proceed we would like signed contract and a deposit. You agreed on all the terms and paid the deposit ($10,188 - to be precise). After placing the order for your equipment, we were being told by **************** that one item is missing (shown in their inventory previously) and will not be available until May. My office tried to locate that condenser unit both locally and out-of-state but we were out of luck. As we all know, we are still facing post-Covid sufferings especially with the limited supply of certain equipment the informed you about the situation, and offered two solutions; we can wait for the next few weeks until that unit is arrived or install a different brand.Unfortunately, you refused both of the options and demanded the deposit back.We honored your decision. I, personally reached out to you, apologized for the situation,and gave your deposit back in the form of three checks. To this day, you have received the whole amount of $10,188 back from us. K2 has been in business for almost 15 years, and we serve our clients with nothing but honesty and sincerity. Similarly, our intentions were to help you from the first day.Unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way we anticipated. However, we would like to close the matters in good terms with you as our valued client. Let me know if I can be of your assistance in any way, I will be glad to do so.Wish you the best of luck!
