On April 21st, 2023 I signed a contract with Redefine Landscaping with a total cost of $4,800. this contract included a visual design that I paid Tom Gorski $400 to complete prior to even signing the contract. Once the visual design was agreed upon, the contract was signed. Tom and the crew started work on May 31st, 2023. While on site, Tom was trying to change the way we were using materials with the retaining wall being built. He also hinted several times that we were getting a great deal and he would make sure everything would "look great!" The evening of May 31st, I received a phone call from Tom stating that they would be changing the desgin of my retaining wall to use my existing materials rather than putting in a new retaining wall with new materials as originally agreed. In addition, Tom was also requesting an additional $1,000 for this. I did not want to agree to paying more money than originally agreed. We eventually settled that I would pay an additional $550 as they needed the extra money to make the job "look great" After this day, Tom was not present again until Tuesday, June 6th. The workers "completed" the job Friday, June 2nd. On Friday, June 2nd in the morning, I texted Tom letting him know that I had some concerns but those texts were not answered until that evening once the crew already left My concerns with the job: The crew completely ripped out my existing wired landscape lights and left them not working even though I made Tom aware of this. The retaining wall built with my materials is not sturdy and needs to be re-enforced with adhesive. I have been in contact with the owner Han since the middle of June. Han was scheduled to come to my house on Friday, July 28th to review everything and he completely blew off the appointment. To this moment, Han has yet to come over and is blowing off my calls and texts. I would really like to resolve my concerns and be done with this
