To Whom It May Concern, My name is ***** *********, and I am the proud owner of a 2011 Volkswagen GTI. I reside in Rochester, NY and my local dealership is Ide VW. On December 7th, 2021 I had an appointment to get an oil change, and have my snow tires, and rims; which I was paying the dealership to store for me; put onto my GTI. I had a set of 4, 16” *********** ******** tires, mounted to rims that I purchased from VW a few years back. This was worth well over $1000 when I purchased them. When I arrived at my appointment, Jim, the service person working at the time informed me that my tires and rims were lost. I was quite upset, as I’m sure you could understand. The Service Manager stated that the ******** tires were not part of the package that I bought, but I clearly remember my Wife stating that I shouldn’t be cheap about the tires, and I agreed that I wanted the best because I really love my car. To make matters worse, I had all the paperwork stored in my car for all the service that I had done over the years, but that seems to have disappeared after getting my car back from the dealership. They replaced the rims that they lost with some cheap rims and tires. The tires were loud and made the ride so bumpy that it felt like I was driving down a cobblestone road. I immediately turned around and went back to the dealership where I requested that they reinstall my original all-season tires. At this point, I just wanted to be compensated for their error. They offered me 3 oil changes, which I refused, and finally offered me $250, which I grudgingly agreed to because I felt so awful, I had to get out of there. They stated that they would cut me a check which i haven't received. I feel this is not adequate compensation for my loss.Business response

Reviewed with Service Mgr. Mike M******** customer concerns. Based on customer history Mike has made arrangements for replacement wheels and tires. We are accountable for our actions and will do our best to make Mr. ********* whole and sincerely apologize for the circumstance.
