i bought a vibrating neck heating pillow, the guy who checked me out didnt give me a receipt when I asked for 1 he said just bring it back and I'll refund you I bought this on Friday dec 2 2022 and tried to return it the next day got there by 1;30 and they closed by 1 I just not right ad to work mon dec 5th tried to return today dec 6 but the man said I could only get store credit with the guy who checked out my purchase right next to him never opening his mouth about the refund, they told me the only way was exchange for something else there's no sign stating returns for exchange of merchandise only I'm guessing they are trying to avoid paying the IRS taxes for monies collected I want my 20 bux back they are dishonest and working out of a garage making it shadierBusiness response

Elma Warehouse Sale Wednesday December 14,2022 This is a response to a complaint filed against our business. ID ******** There are multiple points to respond to from this complaint which was fabricated by a customer who did not like our clearly posted policy on returns and exchanges. It is unfortunate that someone would create multiple lies to disparage a local small business that has been in business over 8 years and has never had a complaint. - - First, our policy has been exactly the same for 8 years and is clearly posted at our checkout area. We do not offer returns or exchanges unless a product is defective. If this were to occur, we would replace it with the exact same item. We have never offered cash or credit refunds in 8 years of business. -- This customer purchased a brand new item at a discounted price at our store. After-USING the item, she wanted to return it even though there was no defect to the product. While attempting to return the item, she was verbally abusive to myself and my employee in an attempt to obtain a refund. I explained our policy again and showed her again the clearly posted policy and she refused to accept our explanation and continued to yell at us to create a scene in front of other customers. As a compromise, although it is not our policy, I offered her alternative merchandise of her choice for an equal dollar amount which she finally accepted and received. As far as her additional false statements regarding dishonesty or relations to the IRS or taxes, this is just another lie to disparage our business. We are an established NYS Corporation with valid Tax ID and have always operated per the standards of NYS. In response to her additional false statement of our business being "shady because we work out of a garage, we do operate our store out of our warehouse(hence the name of our business). We have permanent signage and have been in business for over 8 years. We are visited by 100's of people on a weekly basis without complaint. We find it unfortunate that someone would file a dishonest complaint against our business and take it very seriously. Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. APPARENTLY, THE BUSINESS OWNER STILL HAS NOT ADDRESSED THE ISSUE. I WAS NEVER BOLIGERANT OR NASTY. I JUST WANTED MY MONEY BACK LIKE THE EMPLOYEE STATED TO ME PERSONALLY, SINCE THE OWNER WASNT THERE AND DID NOT HEAR THE CONVERSATION. BETWEEN ME AND HIM. AS FAR AS NOT GIVING OUT RECEIPTS, THEY JUST DONT DO IT UNLESS ITS A CREDIT CARD SALE, AND ITS TEXTED YOU THE NEXT DAY., BY NT GIVING A RECEIPT THEY DO NOT NEED TO PROVE TO THE IRS EXACTLY WHAT AND HOW MUCH THEY SELL OUT OF THEIR GARAGE STORE. THE OWNER IS TRYING TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE I BOUGHT THE ITEM USED IT A WHILE AND RETURNED IT THATS NOT TRUE I EXPLAINED TO THE EMPLOYEE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT I'D LIKE TO SEE HOW MY HUSBAND RESPONDED TO ITS EFFECTIVENESS. THATS WHEN THE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME JUST BRING IT BACK THE NEXT DAY AND HE WAS GOING TO BE THERE AND HE'D REFUND MY MONIES PAID, TATS WHEN QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT NOT GETTING A RECEIPT AND THE STORY HE TOLD ME BUSINESSES WHO DO NOT GIVE RECEIPTS LOOK SHADYTBHE OWNER IS THE LIAR NOT ME I'M HONEST Regards, ****** *******Business response

Unfortunately this customer continues to lie about this interaction. As previously stated, we have had a policy for over 8 years of no returns or refunds. We have never once since the start of our business, offered a cash refund policy. Signs are clearly posted stating this. Although the customer claims to be honest, she has failed to mention in both false complaints that in order to resolve her issue, we provided her with alternate merchandise in the same amount as a replacement. We believe that we have addressed and resolved this complaint. This customer continues to push a false narrative which has nothing to do with her transaction. As previously noted, our reputation speaks for itself as we have never had a single complaint in 8 years.
