Williams Toyota of Elmira NY Mislead me to buy a 3rd party warranty making it look like it was a OEM warranty. Dealership manager scammed warranty when its irrelevant to type of vehicle. Canceled policy and wont adjust my payment. Contract for policy is NOT SIGNED by me. They snuck it in somehow.Business response

Customer states this is an irrelevant warranty to this type of vehicle. This statement is simply untrue. Customer also states he did not sign the contract. You will see attached, he indeed did sign the acceptance of the insurance policy as well as the contract itself. We did reach out to him to have him sign a cancellation request form. His response was that he already called and cancelled this on his own with the company directly. You will also notice on the last page of the contract for the insurance he accepted and signed for, that any monies owed when cancelling this product will have the lien holder's name on the check if financing was provided for the purchase of the product. When insurances are purchased and then cancelled at any time, if there is still monies owed on the loan of the vehicle, the pro-rated amount of monies due will be applied to the total amount owed on the original loan. Cancelling a product will not reduce the monthly payment. We did nothing wrong here, and certainly did not extend an offering of a product that is irrelevant to the vehicle that was purchased. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have notified ****** Corp. On the issue of misleading customers on a warranty. They said there SHOULD NOT be anything on the third party doc that says "*** (****** Finacial Services). Williams tried putting me off to get over the 30 days to cancel. Im paying interest on something I don't own. THAT'S CRIMINAL!!! Regards, ******* *****
