Last weekend I ordered take out for my family.. I had to make a stop to get gas. I I apologize for being a half an hour late. I didn’t look at the food when we picked it up I just paid her $70 and took the food. When we get home and sit down to eat and noticed the food was very dry. And that the chocolate fudge sundaes we had order that were quite expensive were made with peanut butter. So I got on the phone and I called the restaurant and spoke to young lady and explain the situation to her. She said she couldn’t do anything about it and she apologized for the meal but she would let her boss know. so I called to Wednesday I received a phone call back from the supervisor. I had called several times. And when the supervisor or manager call me back. I told her I wouldn’t be as nasty as she was on the phone if I owned it a business. she accuse me of giving them the incorrect phone number. I said most phones now have caller ID so you wouldn’t know what my number was. But that’s neither here is the error when I called she was very nasty and she said you told one of my representatives you were going to get a lawyer., so in that case I don’t give you nothing back. I explain to her that I was frustrated because she hadn’t called back and my grandson who cannot have peanut butter was very sick and she didn’t seem so inconsiderate about the whole thing that’s when I told her I would get a lawyer if she wasn’t willing to work with me because it was very serious. And if I had a business like she did I’d be more than happy to refund money back to a customer if I put something in there food that they could not eat and have an allergy to it. No in the past this restaurant had to be shut down for serving salmonella food. could you please help me get a refund for this meal. Thank you

My family has owned this business for over 39 years.  I have been in the food and beverage industry for over 45 years. Our record speaks for its self. It has been my policy over the years to treat my customers with kindness.  I have no problem refunding a customer most of the time however this woman was so very rude to my staff each time she called.  She left threating messages in my voicemail.  I was away for several days and returned her call upon my I returned. The person picking up the food was 50 minutes late.  The food was cold by the time they arrived.  The employee who prepared her sundae absolutely put hot fudge on it not peanut butter.  Two employees verified this. Her comments concerning salmonella are completely untrue.  I answer to the local Health Department and can assure you we are in great standing with them.   I simply will not refund this woman's money and I do not want her to come back to my restaurant.  I do not permit abusive customers to dine in my establishment.  If this continues to be a problem I will contact my attorney to handle this matter. Thank you for time and have a good day. Jamie B****-F******* President Maple Lawn Dairy & Restaurant, Inc. **** ***** ***** *** ******* ** ***** ****************** ************

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  Response taken by phone:  This response is totally untrue.  The business has been shut down by the health department.  They did put peanut butter on the sundae  My main complaint was about the horrible service I received.  I was not rude.  Listen to the phone recording.  I will not be dining there again.  Regards,    ***** *******
