Anytime fitness has been ignoring my request to cancel my gym membership for 2 months. I signed up in ****** ******** near my home. Without communicating anything to me, they moved my membership to an anytime fitness in ********. The ** gym doesn't even know when my membership was transferred to them. here is my communication with the ********, ** Location: "I have been trying to cancel to my membership with my home club in ******, ** since September. I sent a "contact us" communication through their website and went in during staffed hours in September, I went in during staffed hours in October, I went in during staffed hours and left a voicemail in November. No one was available during staffed hours each time I went in. My voicemail and contact us communication were not responded to. I finally had to refute the charges with my credit card company, which is why your system is showing a past due balance. Please cancel my membership effective as of September when I first tried to contact the club that I signed my membership contract with. I can speak to someone with the corporate office if there are any issues. "They are saying I need to pay $100 to cancel my membership after my cancelation requests were ignored for 2 months. their most recent communication said if i don't pay this amount, i will be sent to collections. They did not give me the contact information with anyone in their corporate office. They have called me and emailed me several times trying to collect this balance, but only after I refuted the charge with my credit card company after trying to cancel for months.
