The work on our bathroom was started by another person in November but he did not have the time to work on it. We had hired another contractor but he fell on the ice and hurt his back. We hired Tyler S*****, Anytime On Time Contractor, on 12/6/22 to remodel our bathroom and remove a 1/2 bath. He had come to the house to see what needed to be done and we asked him if he was a licensed contractor and had insurance. He said yes and gave me a copy of his insurance. We signed a contract for $6,600 on 12/6/22. The bathroom was gutted, all but the tub, vanity and 1/2 bath. We were having a low threshold shower installed in place of the tub. He removed the tub, tile on the shower wall that was installed incorrectly by first contractor, 1/2 bath vanity and toilet . He never put in the thin set under the shower pan, it was not screwed to the sides and no rubber membrane was installed. Tile was installed incorrectly. It was not installed to the shower pan and it is cracking, tile has sharp edges from not being set flat. Grout is coming out of the cracks. Mat finish tiles was put on the walls instead of shiny finish, which he was told 3 times. None of the pipes attached to the shower and drains pipes were glued or primed. The vent in the attic was not installed correctly. It is at an angle and was not glued to the pipe in the wall. It stands 2 ft above the roof. Shower door was installed incorrectly, water runs between the doors and onto the floor outside the shower. Shower drain was leaking on to the floor in the basement each time it was used. He used wrong shutoff valves on the sinks, toilet and shower. Pipes were on wrong size pipes used on the sinks and none of the fittings were glued or primed. Toilet pipes in the basement was changed when changed from 2 toilets to 1. He dropped the vent pipe and broke the porcelain stationary sinks. Was replaced with fiber mold 2 sink and no compensation was made. Piping was not connected to the vent properly which made Methane Gas leak in the house. Vent piping was installed upside down and toilet water was not flowing properly through the vent pipe. Had the walls drywalled instead of plastered , he didn't use tape, it's cracking. Was charged $2700. Job was finished on 1/6/23. Job was not inspected. We called * ***** ******** because sinks were leaking, water was laying in the vanity and shower was leaking in basement. We were told all the piping needs to be replaced and is being done today. I would like to be refunded for all materials and labor costs.

I tyler James s***** ,am currently in a legal matter between Complaintaint.honestly tried to help this customer .I told them I wasn’t a plumber and I wasn’t comfortable doing it and ****** ********** wanted my help in the matter .I helped with the plumbing then he wanted everything in basement changed .it overwhelmed me with work.it was not in our agreement .We did Fix the plumbing issue together I thought I was helping a client save money in December,so I did the extra plumbing for free of charge !they were really nice people to work for at first.then the work in bathroom came and instead of patching three holes he told me I had to cover the whole bathroom in drywall .I did add more money because I had worked off all my services almost by now and it was three more weeks of work added to my job.830 to 4pm everday I worked for these clients! I Tyler James s***** did use thin set mortar to set the shower pan !again the drains, I stated from the start I would help them as much as I could that I wasn’t a plumber and didn’t want nothing to do with being responsible for anything ,and he stated we were doing just fine and nothing leaked and he was proud of our work ,and that I came there everday to help them . I feel I was pushed through my drywalling I honest had one seem that kept cracking and I kept covering it .I taped it ,it would crack and there is only one reason the drywall on the tape would crack ,is the wall was being pushed on and or messed with while I was not on job site there .****** stated don’t worry about the crack it’s probably this house we’ve only been here a year and everything is crooked and cracking the hallway ,kitchen and other rooms have cracks down the wall !so I thought he was right ,he said he was gonna primer and paint it and it would be fine !I moved on ,they signed a contract for the drywalling they were happy no issues!I had been there weeks at this point .They were happy with me all the up until the last days .I tiled the floor and when I was done he accused me of stealing the tile mortar I used! I wanted no confrontation I tried to explain I used it .he didn’t believe me and actually told me to leave and not come back !so I left and when I was leaving ,he said “ok see u Monday !”so I left sat came back Monday ,when I walked in door he said hey I’m so sorry I didn’t know where it went or what the bags were actually for because the contractor before you bought it all.i said “it was ok just a misunderstanding.” I took job on after another person they claimed was a shotty contractor and that they were gonna sue the contractor before me !I felt bad for them I went to work the next day everyday from 21/6-1/12/23except sundays and Tom gave me four days off on Christmas and paid me for the work I had done up to then.the plumbing was the first thing we fixed because the shower wasn’t working and they were without for a month already due to contractor before me.he ripped em off they said was reason he no longer worked for them ,i told Tom I would help him get everything back in order that I wasn’t a plumber and we may have to call a plumber if me and the homeowner couldn’t do it ourselves.but yes I would help do it !they both agreed!I went to work four more weeks at this house and they never once said anything about a water leak ,gas leak ,nothing .I honestly used glue and cleaner on every elbow or pvc pipe we changed or fixed so if the vent pipe was not secured properly it was done intentionally because I have pictures and videos of the jobs start to finish and not one photo or video is the elbow off the vent pipe !sadly I worked for wonderful people and there are the occasional bad apples that make it hard for honest people to make a living.three weeks after shower was tiled they said I put the wrong tiles on the shower ,I don’t pick for customers ,they have to live with it ,Tomas walked me in garage and was in charge of what boxes my kid carried in and what boxes were for the floor . I did what I was told and now I’m a bad guy for it .I’m a young contractor who sadly has not dealt with someone trying to abuse insurance companies!but I was pushed through my job and started being treated like pushed to the door !I Tyler James s***** was not comfortable with the way these clients seem to be happy and lie to my face and pushed me out the door .honestly the very day after I walked out their door my insurance company called me and said there was a complaint against me !I did break a sink in basement because the pipes were heavy and I did not want Tom to get hurt and I let the pipe fall instead of hurting him !it hit the sink and smashed it instead of falling on him .it was too heavy !and we couldn’t hold it like we thought we had it !I Tyler James s***** did pay client for thenew sink the same day it was delivered to there house . From **** ***** !I was owed money for materials and we called it even they were happy I was happy !we both again went in basement and hooked sink up together!I not once stated I was plumber or wanted to eve n do it !but I was lured into doing it and I the relationship we were forming ,the clients seemed nice and at the time I trusted them .they were taken advantage of before I first started!I just wanted to help him! I Tyler James s***** did a fifteen thousand dollar job for 9,300 i pd all my gas all my dump fees ,there dump fee!made fifteen trips to **** *****’ for them all on that dime ,I spent 2300 on tools needed for job .and Christmas for a family . I never once tried to rob, rip,or take advantage of elders !never would I !I met a lot of people over the years working and not even a handful can claim what these people are claiming!they have nothing but good things to say about me and my work ethic .there story about contractor before kept changing and I honestly don’t know what happened between them but I was not comfortable with being pushed around my work in the end so they probably made him leave and criticized his work everyday like he did with me .everyone is different and can only deal with so much !I always fixed the issue tom had with anything.I had to fix it his way that’s how it had to be !I never quit on them, never fought with them ,I just did it .I didn’t get to finish things properly because of trying to please the client I did what he wanted with everything! I just wanted to finish and move on .the job was fine until he added The drywalling !they started being weird and pushy after this was added to work ! I was there every day and I could tell they were just overwhelmed by the noise the work !I honestly dont know how long these clients had a contractor In there house before me but they were overwhelmed before I started !I met ***** ,weeks prior to job and she said a contractor quit on them and didn’t know what he was doing .I called back on Monday and she said ok Nevermind the contractor is gonna finish I said good !three weeks later she called and said can you please help me my bathroom is a mess, that the contractor quit on them and they they were out two thousand dollars !!so I went and that’s when I looked at everything!the next day I came back with a proposal!they were happy I went to work that moment .I cleaned up all the debris, the customer left outside of there house and hauled away !it was five total trips I took while working on weeks street ,three loads were a mess I didn’t make !I paid all dump fees , I never charged client for any of it ! I ripped out all new materials from bathroom shower and took to dump because clients wanted the job all ripped out from previous contractor!said it was done all wrong !I have pictures of everything !I feel from what I seen he wasn’t done with his work and maybe it was other reasons he never came back! So they were elder clients I tried to please him and work along his side ,even though I don’t let clients help me he insisted that we could tackle the drain together ,I was just trying to help him he seemed eager To get to work so I helped him ! Even when he wasn’t helping he would be there in the way watching me which was fine I didn’t say nothing about I didn’t wanna be rude but he was really in my way .

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I am telling you that Tyler S***** is not telling the truth.  My husband DID Not do the plumbing and DID NOT help him with the vent pipe. If my husband know or could do it we would not have hired Mr S***** or * ***** ********.  He is 100% disabled.  Mr S***** worked on the bathroom by himself unless his son was with him.  I tried to have Mr S***** fix the sinks and shower leaks but he was rude to me.  He showed up and said he forgot to glue the pipes.  None of the pipes were glued or primed and were installed incorrectly.  After he tried to fix the leaks I called * ***** ********, explained about the leaks in the sinks and shower, they sent 2 plumbers to my house.  Angelo started to look at the work and said "Lady, those leaks are the leased of your problems".  He asked who did the work, I showed him the contract and he started to take pictures of the work in the bathroom and the pipes in the basement.  Angelo sent the pictures to the Plumbing Inspector.  Our bathroom and basement were never inspected.  H Jacks removed all the plumbing and replaced with new piping.  Toilet vent upside down, not at the right angle, shower pipe had silicone holding it to drain, vent stack in the bathroom was not connected and was leaking Methane Gas in the house.  The stack that goes in the attic was at the wrong angle and was not going out the roof so the roof had to be repaired after pipe replaced.  P traps under the sink were for a shower drain not sink drain.  Sink shutoffs were the wrong ones.  Shower pan was not installed properly, no thin set under pan, not connected to the walls, tile not installed properly and not connected to the shower pan.  Drain was leaking under pan.  Shower door was not installed properly, water leaked between the doors and door didn't meet the wall.  The door was at an angle.  I have had to pay * ***** ******** $3780.00 to fix his errors. ****** contacted ****** *******, ******** ****** to look at the work that was done in the bathroom. They looked at all the piping in the bathroom and basement, the sinks, the shower and ****** told me what had to be done before the bathroom would be right. I have hired ******** ****** to remove the badly done bathroom and to fix the whole bathroom.  The walls had no tape on them and were over covered with mud so that the cracks wouldn't show.  I have a contract for $7794.30 for the bathroom with ******** ******.  I have paid $6600.00 for Mr S***** labor, $2700.00 for the Drywall, $4678.00 for supplies that I paid for, $3780.00 for * ***** ********- ****** (************), $7794.30 ******** ******- ****** ******* **************    I would like the money back that I have paid out for this bathroom.  If it was done the right way the first time it would not have cost me this money.  I also asked Mr S***** if he was a licensed Contractor and insured before he started and he told me that he was.  His work is not insured per the ****** Insurance Co and he is not licensed as a Contractor. I will send pictures and copies of contracts to ****'s email.Thank you****** and ***** **********

I, Tyler J. S*****: Met ***** weeks prior to job, and she said a contractor quit on them and didn’t know what he was doing. I called her back the following Monday, and she said to never mind the contractor is going finish what he started. Three weeks later she called and said can you please help me my bathroom is a mess, that the contractor quit on them, and they were out two thousand dollars. So, I went and that’s when I looked at everything. The next day I came back with a proposal. They were happy I went to work that moment.   Went to look at the job on 12/4/2022 Bid on the job on 12/5/2022 Started Job on 12/5/2022 Completed Job:1/9/2023- with sealing pipe under vanity being the last thing completed. I have not heard from this customer since 1/9/2023. On 1/18/2023 I received a letter from the Better Business Bureau stating that the **********’s contacted them.  The BBB asked for my information..   On 1/25/2023, Exterior Rescue, who was hired to redo my work, made a harassing phone call to me and I hung up and blocked their number; ###-###-####. To date, as of 2-9-2023, I have not heard from the **********’s since I left their residence on 1-9-2023. I was never given opportunity to come there after that date. The first thing I tackled was that I cleaned up all the debris, the customer left outside of their house and hauled away. Then I started the tear out. I made five total trips to the dump working on Weeks St., three loads were a mess I didn’t make, and I paid all dump fees, I never charged client for any of it. I ripped out all new materials from bathroom shower (except for the cement backer board w/waterproof membrane that the customer wanted to reuse) and took to dump because clients wanted the job all ripped out from previous contractor. Said it was done all wrong Please see photos I have enclosed for your review.   In response to “He installed the shower pan but it was not sealed properly”-                 -I used thin set on top of backerboard that first contractor installed because customer did not want that removed. The backerboard has a waterproof membrane. They did not want to buy more materials. See enclosed photograph. In response to “Tile was installed incorrectly”                 -****** ********** took me out to garage and pointed out the tiles he wanted to be installed on the shower walls.  I did that exactly how he asked me to do it. Later when the floor was installed, I was about ½ through laying the tiles and Mrs. ********** said I had the wrong tiles on the floor, I explained that he showed me what tiles to use on the walls and these were the tiles in the garage for the floor.  I told her I would tear up what was on the floor and start over, as I was only halfway through install of floor tiles and she said., “NO, I am not buying more materials”, so I left it as it was. There were not any sharp edges on the tile. The grout did not get sealed, and they knew that when I left. The only way the grout would have washed away is if they got it wet knowing that it wasn’t sealed or if they walked on it before it was dry. In response to, “He did not install the tile to the shower pan and the walls cracked” -The walls were not cracked when I left the jobsite on 1-9-2023. Please see photos. The shower pan was the same size as the shower floor opening that it was installed in to, 60 x 32 because the first one that original contractor bought was broken and all they had to replace it with was 60 x 32. The back wall, left and right sides of shower overlapped the shower pan.The cement board overlapped the shower pan in the back.  See photo.   In response to, “He installed the shower door and it leaked and didn’t meet the wall” -The shower door is not flush because the existing wall it’s attached to is not square.  The door is level. The month I was there working after the shower door was installed, it never leaked.   In response to, “He said we didn’t need a plumber it was minor and he could do it. Plumbing for shower was leaking into the basement and sinks in vanity leaked. He didn’t prime or glue any of plumbing. He dropped old vent pipe in basement and broke the porcelain stationary tubs”.   -I completed the plumbing with Mr. **********. I told him I would help with the plumbing, because the shower wasn’t working and they were without for a month already due to contractor before me, who they claimed ripped them off.  They said that was the reason the contractor prior no longer worked for them. I told Tom I would help him get everything back in order that I wasn’t a plumber, and we may have to call a plumber if me and the homeowner couldn’t do it ourselves, but yes, I would help do it. They both agreed. When the sink got broken, I said I wanted to call a plumber and he said no that we were doing a fine job and to just take a break for a few minutes. I did break a sink in basement because the pipes we were removing were heavy, and I did not want Tom to get hurt and I let the pipe fall instead of hurting him. The pipe hit the sink and smashed it. instead of falling on him. It was too heavy to hold, and we couldn’t hold it like we thought. I did pay for the sink; I have enclosed the receipt that show the proof of that. We did have to correct some leaks, but before I moved on to anything else, the leaks were fixed and all It was just a matter of fine tuning the work that was done. The pipes were primed and glued. All was working well for the next 4 weeks that I was on the job site. There were no more issues at that time. They were happy. I returned on 1-9-2023 to fix the leak under the vanity. The vanity was not part of original job. They asked me to install the vanity and mirror cabinets and I did that for them for free.   In response to, “The stack that goes to the roof was crooked and not connected at all.  It was leaking Methane Gas in the house: -The stack that goes out of the roof is at an angle because they didn’t want me cutting another hole in the roof, they insisted I use the opening that was already existing in the roof.  Methane was not leaking for the entire month I was there working after the pipe was installed. All was glued and primered. The only thing that wasn’t glued and primed was under vanity and I returned on 1-9-2023 to complete that, there were no leaks under the sink when I left on 1-9-2023. All plumbing materials were per customer request. I did not use anything that he didn’t approve first. The wrong shut off was used because that’s what first contractor had on site and customer did not want to buy another one. He did not have receipt to return it. The shut off worked. In response to, “The sinks had shower P traps put on, were not primed or glued and leaked. He had wrong shut offs on sink”                 -The shut offs that were installed were ones that were already at the jobsite.  Previous contractor already had them on site.   In response to, “He changed the stack for the 2 toilets from 2 toilets to one stack and installed in the basement. It was installed upside down and flow was wrong., not primed or glued.                 -Pipe was not installed upside down and was primed and glued.  See pictures enclosed.   In response to, “He did not use enough screws to attach ethe drywall to the studs and did not use tape on the seams or corners. He kept using more and more mud to hide cracks. The drywall that was attached to the bedroom wall in place of the door had 3 screws to hold it int the wall. Had no tape and all mud”.                 -Drywall had plenty of screws on the walls, please see pictures. Owner moved my tape to a different location in his house and I had to ask if he took it so I could use it. He said yes, I have it and gave it back to me.  The only spot let untapped was left by customer request.  Drywall wasn’t part of what I first agreed to do. They liked my work and asked if I would do the drywall too.  We signed another agreement, and I did the drywall.
