  Trimed provided homecare for my mom who has passed (not caused from the company) Trimed provided aides for 24/7 care but the aides caused damage to my Moms house to which we tried to resolve with them. I have sent receipts and an idealism list. They have ignore all of this. And since moms passing I think they feel like the matter is now resolved but it is not. Below is the email to them explaining the damage.Hello, This email is to open communication between us. I called Trimed about some damages that occurred within the last month from the home care aides in the house. 1- an aide flushed gloves, toilet paper, and chucks down the toilet. (No one uses gloves or chucks but the aides) the only people that live in the house is my mom (the patient) and the 24/7 aide. Due to the aide flushing those items instead of throwing them away our septic tack backed up and waste flooded the basement. 2- we had to call two different companies to fix this issue. One company had to clean out the septic tank. The second company sanitized the basement due to the health concerns from waste laying in the basement. 3- the waste backed up into our washing machine and we needed a new washing machine. After this horrible incident that cost my mom thousands. Another incident occurred the same week: My moms aide informed us she felt bed bugs in her bed. We had a two bedroom home. One room is my moms and one room is the aides. The aides room was the only room that has bed bugs. We had to call an exterminator who found no bed bugs but on the aides mattress. We are now in the process of exterminating the house. The incidents above caused caused great damage to our family home. This is really unacceptable and I would like for Trimed to cover these costs and I would like to know the protocol regarding health and safety that is expected of the aides when entering into my mothers house.   The complainant had no proof of what caused the plumbing in her Mom's home to fail, (Chucks can not be flushed down the toilet without causing the bowl to run over, flooding the bathroom), or the infestation of bedbugs. These are routine home maintenance issues which cannot be blamed on a home health aide especially one that has worked consistently with the same patient. The complainant failed to proved proof of these service expenses to Trimed as request in August 2022.
