Goldman Roofing Inc. was hired to fix a couple of leaks in my house. Seemed like when he fixed a leak, another would start so *******************, the owner, suggested a new roof. He **** up an invoice of $62,500 on 5/8/23. The quote was for a whole house new roof shingle tear off and a flat roof of the second floor tear off, lower level flat roof tear off and installation and installation of new roof, inspection of drains, installation of flashing, rubber, insulation etc. and debris to be removed by Goldman Roofing, **** In addition, there was a 7 year labor warranty. The day after he gave me the quote, I told him to begin the job in which he said he needed a deposit for half the monies (even before buying materials) and said if it was cash, he would try to do better with the price. On 5/9/23, I gave him $32,000 cash on 5/22/23, I gave him a check of $10,000 on 5/22/23, on 6/8/23 I gave him a check of $10,000, and on 6/23/23 I gave him a check of $10,500, totaling $62,500. The roof took him a couple of months to complete and with the first heavy rain in July, I had countless leaks upstairs in almost every bedroom and bathroom as well as the kitchen on the first floor. The roof was supposed to be new, but clearly he and his workers did not know what they were doing and installed it improperly. He came back to see what happened and was shocked at the amount of leaks and water, it was almost as if no roof was installed. After a few visits, he said to go after his insurance & then provided me with a fake insurance document that was a quote, not a policy. Furthermore, when I called him back to fix the roof, he said it wasn't his fault and said he closed his business and suggested I *** him &wished me luck. I had multiple roofers of other companies check the is*** & all said it wasn't installed properly and work was patchy & unsealed. His address on the invoice is *********************************************************, which is different than the address shown on BBB, not sure which is real
