The owner is very rude and doesn't know how to professionally handle a situation. I walked into this location looking for a bottle of wine, most of the aisles were blocked off with a chain or boxes so when I headed down an isle that was actually open toward the back suddenly a German ******* jumped up from under wherever it was sitting chained up in a dark room/closet and started viciously barking at me. I literally jumped and almost had a heart attack. When I addressed this to the guy at the register he simply said "well it's on a leash" when I explained that it really scared me (as someone who has had horrible experience with a dog in the past this is a serious scare) he laughed it off acting like it's MY fault this dog started barking like crazy for no reason. INSTEAD of being professional and doing the least he can in this situation which would have been a simple apology he just laughed it off... no sorry no nothing. Maybe he is sexiest as I am a female and he thought this was "funny" but if you can't control your "pet" you really shouldn't have it around customers in such a small store.*Not to mention sitting in some dark room with the lights off on a leash all day which is a different animal cruelty issue. Obviously this dog is poorly trained/ not trained at all and your behavior as a store owner just lost yourself a customer. God forbid this out of control animal attacks a child or elderly person as they walk past, even being in a "leash" won't help you in court. These situations happen way too often with people who don't know how to handle/train what they believe is a "guard dog" that ends up seriously hurting innocent people as the owner helplessly watches."The Food and Drug Administration's Food Guide lays down the law: with few exceptions, live animals of any kind are not permitted on the premises of a grocery store, a restaurant or other food establishment.
