Four Decades Contracting did a job at my home since about ****. The total cost included Four Decades hiring an architect, construction, and filing for the Certificate of ********* **** with the buildings department. Everything was done except the ** was not filed. For years we have been calling Four Decades and the response, including today is, they will call the architect and suggest I also call him. My husband and myself have spoken with the architect and finally he came to the house and reviewed the work and said everything was done as per plan, this was last year. Four Decades and the architect were supposed to get together after that and do whatever they do to get the filing. I have called Four Decades the past weeks and informed them I won't be calling any longer, and I will be getting my own architect and file for my **, and they should pay for it. I also told them I was going to file a report with the BBB and I was asked to hold off and I gave him a deadline of last Friday. It's a week later, and I received a voicemail today, telling me to call the architect again. We have paid Four Decades in full for the total cost of the job including the architect cost. They hired the architect and so it is between the two of them to resolve the matter. Four Decades should be pay the cost of my architect. This is ridiculous!!!
