We hired RC Home Improvement,Rob Cave to do our home renovations. It started in late Spring and still has not been completed. We have paid them what the contract stated and more and still have work that they are not making an attempt to finish. They left us with a hole in our ceiling to our attic and it is winter time. There is work inside that has not been completed and outside work that has not been completed. I want to file a complaint about mismanaged time, mismanaged money and emotional stress caused by their lack of professionalism. He said he was not going to disrupt our home and he has done nothing but disrupt our home, did not clean up after there selves as stated in contract they would do and left the mess for us to deal with. Now that we have a dispute with him he is trying to nickel and dime us out of more funds. We have a new baby and we homeschool and this is uncalled for.Business response

I started job for consumer, I met with them 4 or 5 times before starting. I wrote them 2 detailed contracts because they pushed job back 8 months, but the price and materials went up due to Covid, which is out of my control. Everything was going fine until mid job and they started changing the footprint which I agreed, I have this through text. When it comes time for final draw, they added additional work, and held it over my head. I completed the extra work in order to get my pay and this is what we are dealing with right now. They owe me approximately $3300.Customer response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There was more than one contract and the wording was changed to what seems to be to get out of work that was agreed to in the start like title and flooring was to be provided by the homeowner for installation but then was changed to will be provided by the homeowners and to be installed at a hourly rate ? So then we had to scramble to get it installed on our on. Also there was a bill for extra work that was brought to us for 2200 dollars that we paid right then when it was giving to us at this time the pantry closet was done and was waiting for tile to be done Rob had done a walk through with me on everything that was done and not done thats where the 2200 dollar extra bill in in to play as i said we payed it and asked if that made everything even and payed Rob said yes. Now he is after more money for priming that was to be done from the start and we were told that everything would be ready for paint by Rob now Rob say this was not part of the deal the priming and the pantry closet the contract says closets not 1, 2 CLOSETS pantry is a small closet for food. He has sent us a bill for $3300 more for work that was already paid for and left work not finished. Regards, **** * ***** *****Business response

Received a call from the business stating that they have sent the consumer a demand letter for payment. The consumer has until tomorrow to pay, if not, business will be filing in Small Claims court.Customer response
