Ive been trying to file a claim with American transit for the past 2 weeks. I request a call back because the wait times are always ridiculously long no matter the time. Every call back I get either hangs up or have me on mute where Im forced to hang up.Initial Complaint

I am writing to formally address concerns regarding the handling of my recent car accident claim American Transit Insurance's insured policyholder. Despite my efforts to secure compensation for the damages to my vehicle, I have encountered significant issues with the claims process.Specifically, the Property Damage Investigator assigned to my case, *********************************, has not fulfilled her professional obligations. ******************** has failed to diligently contact the insured party and has not provided me with the necessary information to advance my claim. Furthermore, she has repeatedly misrepresented my statements in an attempt to assign fault to me, and her communication has consistently lacked professionalism. Furthermore, I am concerned that this treatment may be influenced by my age and the far distance from the site of the accident. I request immediate intervention to help address these issues and ensure a fair and timely resolution to my claim. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.Claim #: *******Initial Complaint

American Transit Insurance has refused to inspect damages to my vehicle by their insured driver. Their reason for denying my claim is the hearsay provided by their insured driver to PO *****, the officer that wrote the police report. And according to article 8.02: ********************* by Confrontation Clause (********)(3) Statement to police."A statement made to the police is not testimonial when made in the course of a police interrogation under circumstances objectively indicating that the primary purpose of the interrogation is to enable police assistance to meet an ongoing emergency."Therefore, prior to denying my claim, American Transit Insurance did not "commence an investigation of any claim filed by a claimant, or by a claimant's authorized representative, within 15 business days of receiving notice of claim" - as outlined in: 11 NYCRR ***** Standards for prompt investigation of claims (a)(1).Initial Complaint

I have been calling sreenivasan tarikeri since September of 2023. Over six months without a return call. This insurance company needs to be fined. They dodge calls on purpose. Make you wait on hold for 60 minutes then the person just hangs up the phone. I have multiple videos of this as evidence. Shady. Cant take a phone call like a real adult. Hold times are for hours. Its ridiculous. Companies like this should not exsist.
