On June 19th, 2022 I was booked to travel on American Airlines flight **** to *************** ******************** Airport in *******, ********, scheduled to depart at 6:20 PM from ************************* in *************.Long story short: my flight was delayed 17 hours and a bag full of electronics and personal effects ended up lost on the highway having fallen out of an airport shuttle.Long story long: I arrived at the terminal that afternoon expecting the flight to depart as scheduled, at 6:20. Instead, without any explanation to the waiting passengers, the flight was delayed, then delayed again, then canceled. The entire plane had to line up to be processed by a handful of agents in a manner so disorganized that it wasnt until midnight that I finally had an answer to how Id be getting home (who knows how long the not insignificant number of people left behind me were stuck waiting). In the end I learned the flight was rescheduled to around 6 am the next morning, and was given a voucher for transportation from *** to the ******************** on a white bus from Skyway Car Service (plates were 19500BT). I got on the bus, thinking that at least I could close my eyes for a few hours. The driver loaded peoples luggage towards the back of the bus and we were on our way.Somehow, driving on the highway, the back door of the bus opened, and four suitcases fell out of the vehicle - one of which was mine. The bag contained at least $1,000 (USD) worth of my own personal items, including a laptop (and all that was stored on it), a brand new Kindle, a GoPro Hero 10 camera, jewelry, and clothing. We ended up driving back and forth until 2am trying to spot the lost bags, at which point the driver gave up and took us to the hotel. This driver, who secured the luggage, refused to state his name or employee ID, and only mentioned his managers name, ******, along with his phone number - **************.Customer response
