We secured this company to fix the slide on our 2015 motorhome, which was completed and paid for under our warranty agreement. However, while our motorhome was in the possession of this company it sustained some body damage totaling approximately $7000.00, for which this company does not have any insurance coverage due to "personal property that is in the care, custody or control of the insured." We were NOT made aware of this and certainly would have never left it there had we known. Also be aware, that we left our motorhome in his possession on Nov. 28,2022 and the final invoice is dated 2/21/23, and we were able to pick it up and bring it home (over an hours travel time) March 2, 2023. Doing the math our motorhome was in this business' possession over 3 months! Also, the damage to our motorhome was on the opposite side of the vehicle from which the repairs were made. We are attempting to have this company reimburse our insurance and this account has been turned over to a collection agency. I would highly recommend to be very careful and make sure EVERYTHING is covered, and that you see proof of their insurance before you have any work done on your RV, *****, Motorhome or Trailer.

BBB spoke to the business owner and the following was relayed: The customers brought their unit for service.  The service was completed.  After a service is completed and before customers leave with their unit, we have them inspect the unit and consent on the invoice that the service was completed and they are happy.  We do this in every case, including with these customers.  They looked through the unit and consented that everything looked good.   As the customers were leaving our property, they struck our wishing well with their unit, causing damage to my wishing well that has yet to be repaired. The next thing I know, I hear from these customers' insurance company that they filed a claim for damage to their unit and want us to pay.  The damage did not occur while the unit was in our possession.  However, as a new business I agreed to pay their insurance company $1,900 as a goodwill gesture.  I paid that $1,900 to them.  I've also never asked for any kind of reimbursement for my damaged wishing well.   Then, right after I returned home after Christmas, I get a collection notice of some kind from these customers' insurance company stating that I owe an additional $4,200.  I'm not liable nor responsible for any damage.  Again, their unit was not damaged by us and their unit was not damaged while in our possession.  I don't know if damage to their unit occurred from them striking my wishing well with their unit when they were leaving my property or not.  I'm honest- I don't know.  But I do know that their unit was not damaged by us nor while in our possession.  They agreed to the consent before departing our shop that the service we performed was good and that their unit was all set to go.  If there was damage to their unit from their unit being in our possession, then they would not have agreed to this consent.   Therefore, I am not responsible for their damage.  And I am not responsible for this $4,200 collection from their insurance company.  I never asked nor received anything for the damage they caused to my wishing well AND have already issued payment to their insurance company in the amount of $1,900 as a goodwill gesture.  I believe that is above and beyond- more than fair.  I'm prepared to consult with a lawyer if this matter continues any further if I need to in order to protect myself.   Thank you

I am attaching copies of the Brians RV Repair insurance denial, copies of text messaging that implies he would like to take care of it, as well as the final invoice provided to us.  When we picked up our motorhome, it was parked in his driveway to the left, and enough room for another vehicle beside it.  We did test the work he did and that was fine, at the time.  The damage done is on the opposite side of the motorhome from which he worked.  We were there approximately 1/2-3/4 of an hour, and no where did we even see a 'wishing well', or were we ever told that we had backed into it.  My husband had to back the unit out of his driveway, which was on a slight grade.  I backed out first and parked along the side of the road waiting for him to get ahead of me.  It was getting dark, later in the afternoon, and with the damage on the passenger side, it was not noticed until the next morning, as we had to travel over an hour to get home.  As I stated we did not see any wishing well, and part of the damage to the back panel was almost 5 feet off of the ground.  Brian, also asked us if we could take our motorhome to a place in *********, which we were not willing to do.  As you can see in those text messages, there was NEVER any mention of us hitting anything, and I think my husband would have heard (and probably felt) this collision. Brian did state in his statement that we were satisfied with  On his invoice it does not state 'fully insured " anywhere, and he did tell us he had insurance.  We have pictures of the damage if needed,  Please let me know if you need further information or clarification.   Thank you.
