The owner of the co op is the rudest person. It was never communicated to members that the option to renew with a card is no longer available, when voicing my opinion simply that it was super inconvenient and I was thinking about not renewing because of it, the owner became angry and rude for no reason and let me know I was no longer going to be a member anyway, for having an opinion. After CLEARLY stating it was the opinion of other customers that made them do away with the card option. There are many other propane carriers with cheaper prices than you get with the co-op that I will happily be changing to, as the owner then state enjoy paying ******* propanes high prices, he apparently only backs his partnership when you’re part of the co-op, which I reported to ******* and advised it was due to them, that I was cancelling. The owner let me know others would find my bad review comical. If you want to pay a yearly membership fee, get spammed with emails that you haven’t paid when you did, deal with a rude business owner, pay mediocre pricing, and risk having your membership taken away for having an opinion, join the co-op, seems he even takes membership away if people comment on ******** and hurt his feelings. Owners sensitive, short fuse, and all around terrible at doing business with.

Fact. since 2009 the Galway Co-op has offered discount propane pricing that is unmatched in the industry. Fact. The Galway Co-op has been voted Best Fuel Supplier in the Capital Region for five consecutive years. Fact. Since the Galway Co-op was founded in 2009 our competitors have done everything possible to eliminate the Galway Co-op, including trying to buy us. Fact. The Managing Member of the Galway Co-op can get very short with members that feel they more impotent than the rest. Be well.

All I got from this was the lie at the very end. While the manager is very short, rude, and nasty, I did not feel I was more important than the rest. I simply said it wasn’t convenient that card payments were no longer accepted and the manager used this as an excuse to completely treat me like trash. I have found MUCH cheaper fuel than the co op could ever offer with j&R fuels and propane, without the membership of the co op and the rudeness of the manager. Best thing I ever did was get away from them. I’ve already gotten a few others to leave as well and happily give my terrible expirience to anyone looking into the co-op.

I was removed from the co-op, with no notification, during September of 2022 (I found out from the delivery company) after having submitted my application in April. When I contacted the co-op about the matter I was told that "I was wasting his time" and he hung up on me. I'm still not clear why I was removed without any notice whatsoever. I would think there would be sufficient time between April and September to contact me. Beyond that I have to state that their phone representative was probably the rudest person I ever encountered. I would definitely never recommend this to anyone. Terrible. I'm sure if he sees this he will reply but before you judge what I have to say look at his other comment below. Terrible person.

I have been a member of the co-op for many more than several years and only since their fiasco with ******* *** has the co-op service tanked. When asked why the pricing on the website doesn't match the invoice price ******* actually charges I was told on two occasions they will get back to me and never did. When called a third time I was abused by the person who claimed to be the owner. If you want propane at a discount try somewhere else. A firm can discount in the advertising but not fulfill the price due to a third party involvement then play games on who is responsible. Don't let them get you in first place and you will be much better off. These guys are scum bottom feeders. If you don't want a headache, avoid them.
