Worst bank to do business with trustco in the Mohawk commons area it’s always issues with the cards and the company always have problems with transactions and I’ve had multiple issues with using my card they then close my account with no actual reason and no one seem to can explain to me why my account was close they then proceeded to charge me to cash a trustco check that was issued by trustco itself it’s a total rip off I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH TRUSTCO AT ALL

Very Horrible. I Know it's The Bank Taking Our Money. Because Last Time we got our Refund back From *****. I'm sick and tired of getting the Run Around. I think I'm Going to Take Our Banking Elsewhere. I have Never been in the Negative Before. It's just not Gerling St. It's even on the Phone too there Horrible too.

DONT TRUST THIS BANK as of May 1st 2023. They lied to me and are Anti-Semitic. The previous manager Anthony was okay but he left and the new Manager Rosa did not pay a payment they normally would pay when Anthony was there which is causing me a lot of problems now. Rosa the new manager said even though I had a bank account with them since February 2021 she does not have to pay it even though Anthony always approved it since February 2021. Rosa even had the nerve to lie to me and said many times the bank DID not pay it when actually the bank did! I also just spent about $170.00 in groceries now sitting in my hot car with temperature in my car reached like 139 degrees or higher and I told Rosa all my food is going to go bad if you do not quickly solve this and help me if I do not leave very soon. ROSA INSTEAD CHOICE TO HELP ANOTHER CUSTOMER FOR ABOUT 24 MINUTES AND IGNORING ME WHILE MY FOOD WAS NOW SPOILING IN MY CAR! I can not see any legitimate excuse for her bad behavior towards me in so many ways. Even after I gave her alot more money in cash she did not agree to make that payment for me. I am sure she is Anti-Semitic towards me by all the unnecessary bad things she has done to me without any logical explanation. Even a dispute I had by debit card they said they will not give my money back even though it was a fraudulent transaction without providing this bank a receipt. I do not have a receipt because it was a fraudulent charge by a dishonest business that gave me nothing! Now Waiting for their corporate office to get back to me. Hopefully it will all get resolved in my favor. After several days have gone by, Corporate has not got back to me so it looks like corporate supports the Anti-Semitic treatment I experienced at this bank and if not corrected soon I will be contacting the Anti-Defamation League about this!

Trustco bank told me I would get a mortgage at 1719.00 closing fees, lower than anyone around. They ran my credit and then when they gave me a breakdown of the fees it was over 7000.00. They promised me the sun, moon and stars, then denied my loan for 1 delinquent payment in 2016. The loan officer then tried to convince me to buy land and they would give me a construction loan to purchase a modular home from a contact they had. Not sure why they gave the run around maybe to create business for the modular home company. Either way I walked away fully approved for more than I asked for at ***** and the closing costs are less now with them.

TRUSTCO BANK IN EAST GREENBUSH, NY NOT ONLY HOLDS NO RESPECT, LOYALTY OR HEART FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. BUT YOU WILL LEARN THEIR LOAN OFFICERS AND BANK OFFICIALS WILL ALLOW YOUR 3 BUSINESS PARTNERS TO FORGE YOUR NAME ON 5 MORTGAGES BETWEEN 1997 AND 1998.ALONE. THEY WILL BE THE NOTARY ATTESTING THAT YOU CAME BEFORE THEM AND THEY WITNESSED YOUR SIGNATURE.. IN 2005 THEY DO MORTGAGE CONSOLIDATIONS AND MORTGAGE ASSIGNMENTS.. DEED TRANSFERS. AGAIN FORGING MY NAME AND EACH TIME TRUSTCO BECAME THE ASSIGNEE . HOW I DISCOVERED THESE FACTS IS BECAUSE MY 3 PARTNERS WERE WILLING TO EMBEZZLE BUT THEY SENT FRAUDULENT 1065 AND K-1 STATING THEY DISTRIBUTED THE MONEY TO ME. I WAS FINED OVER A $180,000.00 JUST FOR $2017. TRUSTCO BANK ALLOWED MY PARTNERS TO ACTUALLY WRITE CHECKS OUT TO MY NAME AND ENDORSE THEM WITH THEIR NAME AND CASH THEM

My cousin and I tried to get a mortgage with Trustco and after 4 months, still no closing date. We gave them the sales contract for the house being sold (where we will get the down payment proceeds from), the purchase contract for the house we are buying, 2 yrs tax returns, copies of statements - you name it! I realize this is not a 'normal' mortgage in the sense that I do not get an income - I live off of savings and investments - I can make my income whatever I want - I have no paycheck, no SS, no Pension. Credit is 740 and 810. $330,000.00 town house with a $130k down payment - that's 40% down. I have over 2 Million in investments and IRAs that I live off of. First they did a pre-approval, rather than an application. The rate went up and we had to get Senior Mgmt to approve the back date of the app to the pre-approval so we could have to lower rate. Then my car (13 payments left) had to be paid in full or less than 11 payments to exclude from DTI ratio. Then they asked for 200k worth of Insurance, my agent said 180k is enough the rest can be covered by the association master policy. They didn't know about the association master policy- but earlier you questioned if it was a condo or townhouse because of the 250 mo association fee! Then they ask for a Title policy but didn't tell us there was a 'approved list' we have to go with. Then they need to sit on the title for 10 days - why? no one can give an answer - it's policy. Now they want me to sell my house or prove that a HELOC from 25 years ago is paid. If they didn't want this loan, just say so. don't torture me and dangle a carrot that is unattainable. This was started at the Fishkill NY location but underwriting and Closing were upstate.

Horrible company to bank with and even more horrible to work for. No professionalism towards clients. Very derogatory towards their minority employees. They need to be shut down or to hire a whole new staff.
