On October 14,2021 Phillip Smirtic owner of P.T Home Repairs was given a 50% deposit in the amount of $9250 to purchase all materials and begin repairs to my single family property. Repairs were to be started immediately and completed within a 4 month deadline. The progress of this repair has been very slow with the contractor showing up 2-3 days per week and only completing approximately 3hrs per day. It has been two months since start date and no items on the contract/project has been completed some hasn’t been started. The quality of work is very poor and I had to hire additional help to complete junk removal due to contractor neglecting or delaying to complete it even-though in contract and this was costing me extra money on dumpster fees. Walls have been painted before demolition or junk removal and without any repairs or preparation to preexisting Sheetrock/walls. Contractor has failed to provide me with any receipts of materials purchased despite numerous requests. Since request of receipts and complains of the quality and speed of work contractor has refused to communicate with me, ignoring and not returning any phone calls or texts. Contractor is never present at property on any of my visits. Very minimal work has been done and has been done below standards. Issues such as the structural integrity of deck incorrect placement of supporting columns, and side steps has been pointed out and was told will not meet inspection standards. However these issues have not been corrected. Sidings were the first item on the project and was to be completed so exteriors would be protected from harsh winter weather. However despite numerous discussion this, as well as open basement windows has been left unattended or incomplete. No receipts, no materials, slow progress and poor quality of work as well as a contractor who refuses to communicate with me are only a few of the issues that are causing extended delays and additional expense.
