On 04/22/2021 I contracted POM siding Llc to replace siding on my house at that point I paid $5495.65 down payment and they said they’d have materials in few weeks and be out quickly there after to complete job. They stopped answering calls and texts a shortly after that until I threatened legal action at which point they said they’d get me on schedule. By this point it was September. They never started job until end of October and finished it just before thanksgiving. I paid the remainder of the balance at that point for a total price of $10991.30. About two weeks later a piece of facia metal can loose and I contacted them to fix it and they did a few days later. In may I started having a piece of siding come loose just under the eves of my house and I contacted them to see if they’d fix it as it hasn’t even been a year and this wasn’t due to any storm or anything it’s just came loose. They responded that they’d get me on the schedule but have yet to show up. Since then I have more siding coming off on the front of my house now and they refuse to respond to calls or texts and apparently don’t plan on fixing the issue. I have explained this to another contractor and it’s been brought to my attention that they didn’t use proper nails in the top strip that holds siding in place. I don’t have a lot of money and $11000 is a whole lot to pay and have fail in less than a year. Please help me.Initial Complaint

We had contract with POM to install siding, gutters & frame out pool deck. We paid them $14,846.42 on 11/9/20 as down payment .They began work on 6/7/21 with hope it would be done in 2-3 wks. Due to rain and POM staff shortages, work went on until 8/1/21. At that time, the siding was done and the pool deck had been partially done. The gutters were not done and Keith said he would be back on 8/7/21 to finish the deck work & install the gutters. We paid him $10,000.00 on 8/1/21 for the work he had done up until then. We were then told the gutter material was not in and Keith was in quarantine. The gutters had been off since June & causing water damage to our garage, basement. After several texts back & forth & POM unable to commit to a date to come back, we decided on getting gutters elsewhere and notified POM of this on 9/8/21. We paid for the gutters 100% on our own ( they had been included in the price of the contract as free as part of a fall special). On 9/8/21, POM stated they would reimburse us the amount of $137.50 which they had included in the contract to pay for permit for deck but we already had paid for. We have not yet received any reimbursement. We told them that we would finish the work on the deck ourselves so POM would not have to do that. We started asking on 9/8/21 if POM could come back and fix a few things on the siding that we noticed needed fixing . I have tried to contact them via text, phone calls, emails and even certified mail since then- approx. 18 attempts to get in touch & have not heard from them at all. The certified letter was signed for so it was clearly received by them and it contained pics of the areas that needed repair- siding that has slipped down, 2 pieces were cut too short, trim around garage door wasnt put back on, In the letter, we asked they contact us to confirm they were aware of our concerns. Contract warranty is for 1 yr & work was never finished in the first place with no final walk around to ensure satisfaction.
