Homeowners beware! In April 2022 I agreed to a proposal from Imperial Home Services for a small concrete project at my home. At that time, the owner Joseph Ciffa requested a deposit to lock in an August construction date. In late August I contacted the company to confirm their schedule only to be told they're behind and it would now be mid-September. After several more communications it was pushed out "2 weeks", then "10 days", then "October", then "November with special cold curing concrete". At that point I requested a refund which he agreed to. There have been countless promises to refund my money which didn't happened. I filed a complaint in small claims court. Joseph was a no-show. The court ruled in my favor. As of January 2024, I have not received a refund of my deposit! I will now be filing a lien against his properties.

Not only did they do a poor job but damage personal property as well.

My sidewalk turned out beautiful that's the only positive thing I have to say... The garage pour is just fine too. We had our pole barn poured the same day as all that and a large crew showed up. Joe changed the estimate without power trowel from one day to the next. My husband contacted him and they said they would do it, because it was in the original estimate. They left one guy who was day drinking to finish up the power trowel, and he didn’t even complete it, we couldn't really tell in the dark. The guy left with the promise that Mike, the foreman would show up to pick up the trailer that was left on the road and the power trowel that was outside of the trailer. It was still on the road at 9:30 at night, so my husband had to go out there and put the trowel away and move the trailer from the road because no one showed up to collect it. The next day we look at it and the center drain looks like crap and the finish is rough. Two guys came the next afternoon, the one who left without finishing the job and another man, and they cut the lines super unevenly. At that time my husband expressed his displeasure at how the power trowel finish was. The one guy promised he would come back the next day and finish up the power trowel because he agreed that it looked like crap. The next day came and went... Then they said when it's raining. It rained and no one showed up. We contacted the owner who dodged calls and didn't answer texts for a long time. He first said it's finished and no one will be coming, then if the foreman Mike thinks it needs to be redone. 2 weeks later no Mike no change. It is a shady business and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone ever for a pole barn, and certainly don't allow them leave anything till the next day that requires a finish!

Public Service Announcement / Buyer beware Imperial Home Services – concrete company I signed a contract with them April 13, 2021, to do a Patio, Driveway and Garage Floor. On that date the owner Joe Ciffa requested a deposit to get me set up on his schedule and I provided it. I was told they would start 3rd week of May. Several text thru summer and no start date. Finally I was told they would start 8/18/21 and it happened to be only week I was out of town to take my child to college, and I let the owner know this, I texted the owner as soon as I was back in town 8/23/21, no reply. 9/4/21 texted him again about start date and his reply as “you went out of town when he wanted to start”, then he offered to refund my deposit which at this point I said please refund. He then told me no he was not refunding it, and I reminded him he had made the offer, to which he then said he was going to sue me. 9/7/21 Demo started for only Driveway, Garage and Front Walkway. 9/25/21 still no cement poured, weather was hit an miss, but mostly dry. 9/27/21 poured most, still had driveway apron to pour and start patio. 9/28/21 finished up driveway and he asked for deposit for patio he was starting it today, all his digging equipment was at my house, with in a hour of sending him the deposit he / his guys left with all the equipment. 9/30/21 the owner Joe Ciffa asked If I wanted to wait and start the Patio Spring 2022. I declined unless he wanted to give back my deposit, He said no and he said he would pour it now. We texted back and forth thru end of year and no Patio. 3/9/22 Got a text a saying they would start as soon as weather gets better. 5/11/22 said he would start. 7/28/22 said he was starting. 9/28/22 Still no Patio and he had my money for over a year at this point. Filed in small claims court. Judge ruled in my favor since as of 10/5/22 no Patio was done He has yet to pay me anything on the court ruling.

Imperial homes installed a driveway on 7/12/2021. After they sealed the driveway the worker left 1/4 of the driveway with black marks all over and they refused to fix the problem. Also, after a year it's starting to pit all over. Terrible job, unreliable, the owner is a liar.
