After delay after delay.. finally dug 2 holes poured the concrete and put up the 2 posts. Took off the siding to install the header against the house and then stopped work and had the crew leave because he said there was asbestos under the siding… clearly there is none!! He got in my face calling me a lier saying I knew there was asbestos siding.. so for $5,600 I got 2 posts up and a big gaping hole where the siding was!!! Stay away

AWFUL! They were supposed to come back and FINISH the job and they NEVER did. Multiple calls and no responses. Horrible company…. Took our money and never saw them again…. Have tried for almost 2 years Disgusting

At first, the owner of this establishment, Wayne Michalak, sounds professional but no he does not deliver what was promised to us nor follow the value of our contract. We had a pavilion build attached to the back of our house this past Jan. 2023 but was supposedly been built last year 2022 around summertime. After all the items I accomplished to complete the requirements by the town and architect and the materials that was needed for the project, the pavilion was built up but they didn’t totally complete the finishing touches around the exterior. There were missing screws in the roof, some siding gaps on the wall of the house that they touched, the black brackets that was included on the contract was missing (we asked for a breakdown of the list of materials in the invoice but he did not provide it. So it was speculative that he was not trustworthy of all the money he asked for the materials- we gave him two 3k deposits because he said the materials that the architect drew were expensive), and most of all they did not fix the pavers around the four posts when they dug up for it. Also, we just saw the poor workmanship they did as there was a gap on one of the wood frames, which was in the front of the build, that they diy’d it up with a small piece of wood to connect it. The pavers he said because it is not the usual work they do but told us to hire another contractor to fix it and said to send him an invoice and that he will compensate for it. I sent the invoice and showed him the amount of the quote to fix the pavers and he responded to say, for their part, he will only pay for the half of the total amount which was almost a grand. I texted, left voicemails, and emailed several times but as of this writing, he has not responded. I do not recommend this company and I will not recommend this company to anyone. Please do not do business with WNY backyard enclosures. The owner is not a responsible person do deal with.

They did an amazing job for us and they were really helpful in thr designing of what we wanted. The owner, Wayne, was very nice to work with and my wife and I would highly recommend them!

Gave a deposit of $3,000 to Wayne at WNY backyard enclosures, LLC to complete a portico with a start date of June 29,2022. After numerous “delays and excuses”, Wayne with WNY Backyard Enclosures finally shows up at our house on September 24,2022 and informs me they are going to be starting on our project later in the week. September 30, 2022 a sub-contractor hired by WNY Backyard Enclosures arrives and starts the portico project. That evening we put a stop on all construction due to structural issues/shoddy work and I leave a voicemail with Wayne from WNY Backyard Enclosures to call me immediately. Wayne in turn has the sub-contractor call and we spoke with him about our concerns. The next morning October 1,2022 I try to contact Wayne again and ask him to call me as soon as possible. Wayne texts me back acknowledging it was a bad decision to hire a sub-contractor and offered a refund to which I accepted. Wayne never showed up at my house to inspect the work that was completed by the sub-contractor. October 3, 2022 WNY Backyard Enclosure employees show up with no refund check in hand and wanting to pick up their trailer and materials for the job. Due to the sub-contractor nailing through our siding and removing roof flashing, we were left with damage to the front of our house. With this being said I would not recommend doing business with WNY Backyard Enclosures.

Ordered a bldg in june received wrong and still not done

We had a backyard structure built by WNY Backyard Enclosures This experience had been sketchy from the start. The project was verbally agreed upon WITHOUT diagrams or even simulated pics (Our fault we did not demand these) and a $5,000 non refundable deposit. Well after going through 3 project managers in a 2 week period - the project was completed - not as verbally agreed upon with builders telling me what we spoke about was not possible. Wayne Mahalic (owner) is way out of his league trying to run a business of this magnitude- poor communication, dishonest (still haven’t received a $500 refund promised on June 26th) and just not very professional - unless he cleans up the business and finds a way to keep quality builders from quitting projects - think twice about contracting with the business.
